"Have you had enough, Kylas Zolo?" Ciella asked. She stood in a dark room with one orb of light illuminating it. In front of her, hanging by his wrists from two pillars, was a badly injured Kylas. His face was riddled with bruises and blood oozed from his nose and forearms. Ciella waltzed over and knelt in front of him.
"Is that convincing enough for you?" she asked, running her finger across the upper part of his lip. He looked up at her with bloodshot eyes, his face twisted in a scowl.
"Aww," she laughed, "What's the matter? For a big, bad Knight of Ren like yourself...this pain should feel like nothing." Kylas spat specks of blood onto her cheek and the bridge of her nose. She took a deep breath and stood upright, lightly tapping her nose. The shiny, cold red drop fell down her finger and plopped onto the ground. She sighed and tilted his to the side before slamming her fist into his face. He groaned under the force of the blow and fell forward, still hanging from the chains.
"Kylas Zolo," she said, "You're beginning to annoy me."
"That makes two of us..." he droned, looking up at the young woman.
"I see why Ren trained you," she said, "You are a very difficult person to break." She turned to two women, fully dressed in Mandalorian body armor, and nodded for them to turn around. As they did, Ciella whipped back and began to pound her fists into the side of Kylas' chin. Kylas tried to brace himself for the hits, the right side of his face taking extreme punishment from Ciella's assault. When she moved, Kylas coughed up large splotches of blood
"You can't break me, Kara-Vel," Kylas snapped, "Nobody can break..." Ciella snapped her head back to him and used the Force, pushing the back of his skull into the wall.
"Listen to me, Kylas Zolo," she growled, "You are growing more and more insufferable every time I hear you speak. And it's starting to get annoying."
"Then just kill me," He huffed, "You'll be doing me a favor anyways."
"Killing you is too easy. I want to make you suffer."
"Looking at you is suffering enough," he growled.
"Nice try, child," Ciella said, "But you won't get out of this so easily. You are ours until we destroy the First Order. And until then..." she grazed a finger across Kylas' bloodied chin, "We are going to have so much fun with you." She turned on her heels and stormed out the room, leaving Kylas hanging and groaning. His head exploded with pain, blood crept down his cheeks and lips. The door reopened and two other guards walked towards him. To his shock, they stood behind him and unhooked the chains. He fell face first onto the floor, unable to hold his own weight up. The guards hoisted him onto their shoulders and dragged his limp body back to the chamber where Alo sat silent, looking at a crack in the wall. They tossed Kylas into the room and shut the door behind him. As they turned to walk away, Alo rushed forward and help Kylas to his feet.
"Are you alright?" Alo said.
"Does it look like I'm alright?" Kylas said, turning to show Alo his multiple bruises and cuts on his face.
"Good point," Alo nodded, dragging him over to a fairly large bucket of water and began to clean Kylas' face. Kylas hissed in slight pain, but Alo held his chin still.
"Don't move," Alo whispered, "It'll hurt even more."
"As if it didn't hurt already," Kylas chuckled softly.
"You took quite the beating, Kylas Zolo."
"I've had worse beatings from bigger people. Still hurts...but there has been worse."
"I see," Alo said, finishing cleaning his face off and tossing the bloodied rag to the side.
"What were you looking at?" Kylas said, rubbing his chin softly. Alo sighed and ushered him to the wall he was sitting in front of.
"Do you see that?" Alo said, pointing to a fairly large crack in the wall before them.
"It's a crack in the wall," Kylas responded, "Just a simple crack."
"That," Alo said, turning to Kylas, "Wasn't there before." Kylas looked at Alo with confusion before looking back at the crack.
"You're saying..."
"Kylas," Alo said, "Forget about coming up with some elaborate plan for escaping this planet."
"What?!" Kylas hissed, "Why would I-?!"
"Because maybe we don't have to," Alo said, "Train hard. Master the Force."
"I am a Knight of Ren," Kylas said, "Disciple of...of Kylo Ren. I don't think I need to..."
"Not just the Dark Side, Kylas," Alo said, "If we want to make it out alive, I have to somehow learn the Dark Side. And you...you have to embrace some of the Light." Kylas ' expression straightened. Surely he didn't think Alo's plan could work. It was ludicrous and crazy.
The First Order rose from the Dark Side, the old man's voice repeated in his You did not.
Kylas sighed and looked up at Alo, who had his hand stretched out to him, offering Kylas a chance to shake on it.
"I've had long to think about it," Alo pleaded, "And there's no way they will be able to stop us. They know us. I am a Jedi, master of the Light. And you, Kylas, are a Knight of Ren. One completely enveloped by the Dark Side. But if we teach each other..."
"We'll become more powerful than even we would think," Kylas whispered, the revelation dawning onto his face. Alo nodded and glanced down at his hand.
"What do you think?" Alo asked, his green eyes filled with a passion that Kylas hasn't seen before. That passion put a smirk onto Kylas' face as he grabbed Alo's hand and shook it.
"Very well," Kylas said, smirking with a slight hint of anticipation, "As my master once said: I'll show you the Dark Side."
