Ten hours later the plane was finally getting ready to land. I was excited. Raven had said that a vampire would meet us and take us to the estate where I would stay. When we got off of the plain we found our luggage and met up with a man who had a sign that read Marisol Sanders which I'm guessing was Raven's old name. Raven had greeted the man with a hug and introduced them. "Zarianna, this is Griffin De Mont, Griffin, this is Zarianna, the new fledgling that I found," Raven explained. "Nice to meet you," Griffin said in a deep Irish accent. I just smiled. I had no clue what to do. We walked out to the parking lot and I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the car, well it's not really a car, it was a limo. Raven looked at me and laughed. "That's our ride?" I asked still in shock. "Welcome to the life of a tracker," Griffin laughed. We got into the limo and sat quietly, me still marveling at the interior of the black limousine. The seats were a black leather and the walls were a maroon color. The windows were tinted, but outside still looked bright.
When we came up to this mansion, no, castle. The whole thing was huge. there was a big fountain in the center of the driveway and a huge set of doors leading in. When the limo turned in to the driveway I was shocked. How much money could vampires have? When the limo came to a stop a group of butlers or something came out and got our bags. A tall, thin man came out. He walked up to us and looked at Raven. "Raven," he greeted her with a nod. He looked at me and smiled, a warm, but fake smile that had to have been worked on for years. "And you must be the new fledgling. What might your name be?" he asked with another fake smile. "Zarianna," I said proudly. "No last name?' he asked looking slightly amused. "No, I don't have one," I replied a little dismayed. "Okay, well Zarianna, the elder wish to meet with you immediately. It cannot wait, but will be shown your quarters afterwards," with that he grabbed my arm and hauled me through the door. The moment I inside I stopped dead, frozen in shock. There was a double staircase that went up to an indoor balcony, there was a huge chandelier, and to the side was a huge double door. I was snapped out of my shock when the man started to yank on my arm. "Come on, we have no time to waste gawking at an old staircase," he said in an annoyed tone. I rolled my eyes. That was not just an old staircase. We made it to the huge double door and he quickly opened it. When I looked up, I saw seven guys, like twenty year old guys, sitting in big throne like chairs in half circle. To me the whole thing looked like a big council. All of the guys looked different, like each one was from a different country. "Ah, Marcus. Did you bring in the new fledgling?" asked a man with dark brown skin. "Yes, Elder Jamaul. This is Zarianna, no last name. She is the new fledgling from the U.S.," replied Marcus. So these are the Elders I thought to myself. The Elders were a bunch of twenty year old guys. That makes sense, not! Then a very tan guy, most likely Native American, stood and started to walk towards us. "Marcus, you are dismissed," the Native American said before continuing on to look at me. "Hello, my name is Ash. I am the head of the Elders and the eldest known living vampire, followed by Zacharia, Jamaul, Arbu, Nathanial, Ivan, and Ryhs. We are the government of the vampire society. Now what is your name?" he said the whole thing so nonchalantly. "Zarianna, or Zari for short," I said shyly. "Did you choose that name or is it your given?" he asked. "Huh?" I replied, completely lost. "Oh, um, did you have that name before you were bitten or did you claim it after?" As explained. "Oh, i have always had that name but i dropped my last name after i was bitten," I replied, hoping that Zarianna was a name that I could use. "Well that's different, normally humans arent given vampire names," said a very pale man in the corner seat. "Never mind that, the girl is probably starving. Fledglings always are," said the black man, Jamaul, to the other elders. He then looked at me."Go on up to your rooms, there will be a bag of blood sent up," he gave me a smile that I returned. After a minute of thinking i turned back to them. "Um," I tried to get someone's attention. They all looked at me, but none of them looked annoyed. "I don't know where my room is," "Oh," said one that I didn't know the name of yet. he then looked at Ash. "Why don't you show our personal guest to her rooms," he said this with a deep Russian accent. Ash got up and walked past me. "Come along, miss Zarianna" he said and opened the door for me.
