Author's Note:

Hello guys! I apologize so much for how long it's been since I've worked on this book! I've been really busy with life, lots of life, laziness, lack of muse, and then also completely forgetting I even had this story up on here... Yeah... I won't deny it... I forgot I even had this up...

Which is why I apologize! I recently got back into writing and this story popped in my head again and I thought, "Wait... didn't I already start to work on this on wattpad...?" so I checked, and voila, I sure did. It's been what, a year almost? Sheesh... I apologize greatly for that, but this author's note isn't to say "Hey! I'm deleting the story so sorry for letting you on!" or "this story is discontinued because I have no muse for it" or something. Nope, quite the opposite. I've regathered my muse and I'm going to continue this story and start working on it again! I don't know how frequent my posts should be, but God, I probably won't take years to update... Maybe a month if I'm really feeling out of it, but I should be updating frequently, hopefully...

Also, I will be updating the pictures and making newer illustrations for the characters so you've got an actual visual as to what they look like!

Anyway, for those who are still following this story, I apologize for the delay! And thank you so much for continuing to read this! <3 I shall be updating now, so again, I greatly apologize and now... I hope you enjoy the continuation! (and no worries, I've got this story pretty much memorized so the only thing that'll change plot wise is my writing is better now, but the plot hasn't changed in my head over this time! <3 )

Tora stood before Iruka, mentally preparing herself for whatever task it was that he asked of her. I just have to do what he says and so long as I do it well, I can pass... I'll be a real ninja then--and one step closer to my goal. She smiled lightly at the thought. I'm so close.

"Tora Miya... You're prepared for this exam, right? I heard some commotion outside," Iruka said, eyeing her suspiciously.

"Yes, sir," Tora said, standing straight and tall. "Just some of the boys quarreling--you know how Keiko and the others are. Always at each others' throats..."

"Ah," Iruka said, looking at his clipboard. "Well, if that's all it was, then let's begin. You know how to preform the transformation jutsu, don't you? Would you please give me a demonstration?" He looked up at her, giving a small, encouraging smile.

Tora nodded and preformed the various hand seals to unlock the requested jutsu. Transformation jutsu... I just change my appearance and hold it for a short while--it's not too hard! Focus, focus... A cloud of smoke enveloped her as she succeeded in her jutsu, and as the smoke cleared, the girl had taken on the form of a young hawk--which was now perched in the center of the room. She held it for a solid two minutes before deciding it was enough to prove her worth and returned to her normal form. "Was that good enough?" She asked tiredly, giving a weak smile in hopes that it was all she had to do in order to pass.

"That was very good," Iruka praised. "But I'll also need you to produce three clones for me, if you can."

Tora frowned. Three clones? He's kidding... I can do that--easily! She smiled, before quickly folding her hands to preform the correct jutsu to do just as she was instructed. Three small clouds of smoke popped up in the room--clearing to reveal three clones that looked identical to herself.

However, they wouldn't hold long. Already she could feel her energy draining from her body--having already spent most of her chakra that morning to prepare for the test, as well as use the transformation jutsu to guise herself as Iruka, and now going through the test... it had left her quite vulnerable.
