Author's Note: Hey guys! I'll probably switch around point of views a bit--since I love basically all of the characters and each one is quite important to the plot. Tora is the "main character" because I'm going to mainly focus on her and her point of view, but many chapters will be focused around other characters for the sake of the plot. Technically I don't like working with "main characters", I like 'em all, just I labeled Tora as the main character for this book. Anyway! Just explaining why I'll focus on other characters a lot or switch around point of views from time to time. When I don't want to focus on one particular character's individual point of view, I'll go "Author's POV" which is basically omniscient like I've been doing before this. Just don't freak out--to get the whole story you can't have everything focused all on one character, just like in Naruto they switched around a bit too. Anyway, I'm done now. Continue on and thanks for reading thus far!
Tora's POV.
I jump from a tree branch, quickly landing on another. I honestly am having a hard time grasping the concept of this game. I mean, I suppose I understand his reasoning behind it--and I can't deny it's a great way to understand us each individually--but really? Couldn't he have done it in a different method? Instead I'm playing a spin-off of "Capture the Flag"... And me going against all of the others rather than just capturing one other team or person's flag is going to be a hassle. If I get one, I need to get another. Then someone could attack me and get two--and I'd then have to fight with the other three ninjas in order to get back those flags and obtain all three if I can. Then if I'm successful I'll still have to fight the person with the last flag--as well as worry about three other ninjas after me. And since we're all ninjas and not just silly little kids, this could drag on for hours--days even, if we so let it.
But, I suppose it's a pretty good challenge in that respect.
If I were capable of getting all four within one day, that'd be great. Making an alliance would quicken that. And frankly, I think all of us are fine with teaming up against Keiko...
I almost feel bad for him. But I suppose it can't be helped. Asa hates Keiko. I'm not entirely fond of Keiko myself, and even Akira probably realizes he's not too smart in the head and therefore must be the easiest target. Even if he's strong, he can easily be out-smarted... which will bring his downfall.
But, that doesn't really matter. I'm sure Kazime will learn sooner or later that Keiko is hopeless on his own. What do you expect from someone so... dense?
I quickly landed on another branch, this time pausing rather than continuing onward. Now that I think about it, Keiko was quite... strange toward Kazime. He zoned out and chased after a butterfly--which I suppose is a stupid thing Keiko would do--but still... I can't help but to feel that there was something else about it. He's always dumb like that, but... When I looked at him... I could have sworn their was fear in his eyes. I sighed. Then again, it's not exactly like Keiko to ever be scared of anything. He was probably just shocked, not scared, though...
He was, after all, a "Mighty Doragon"! And Kazime didn't seem to know him. So I'll just shake it off. But Keiko did seem a bit grumpy toward him--and usually Keiko is pretty nice. But Kazime did say he had a reputation... I've never heard of him before, but maybe Keiko has! Perhaps he's one of those pretty tough ninja--but maybe he was once part of the ANBU Black Ops so nobody really knows about him, and somehow Keiko did? It would be a pain to have such a strong teacher, but he doesn't seem all that tough. At least, not in spirit. He seems pretty cool and laid-back, actually, so I think I won't mind him being my teacher.
Not like Kakashi, who only passed one team before in his lifetime. He seems like he'd probably be wicked hard on his students.
I see someone pass by where I was perched in the tree, and I look up to see Keiko travelling up ahead. Ah, I was just thinking about him, too. Let's see if I can go ahead and get that flag of his before the others find him, I thought, jumping to a higher branch and giving chase.
