"Hellllo Kato!" Dani chirped and skipped up to me.

"Ah...Hey." It was obvious he didn't do it yet.

"What's wrong?" She asked. We were in front of my locker waiting for Dylan and Nick.

"Nothing." I turned to my locker to open it.

"Oooh, Kato likes someone!" She giggled.

"Who told you-"

"Oh shush, I always know. You always have a lust look in you eyes, like when you liked Jeremy Boyer." Dani smiled.

"So, who is it that you like?" I didn't want to talk about it.

"Nob-"

"Kato, you like someone? Is it that guy in that photo? Because you never explained that to me." Nick jumped in with Dylan next to him.

"Who is it?" Dani pushed.

"Nobody." I said softly and closed my locker door. She wasn't going to give up so easily.

"I'll figure it out somehow." What if she did find out and walked out of my life? I would rather die...

"Kato!" Jade jumped in too.

"Oh thank you..." I said under my breath. "Hi!"

"Don't you 'hi' me, you left me alone with mom and dad-" I yanked her away from the group and the pull made her stop her sentence. They were already trying to see who I like, I don't want them knowing about my dad either.

She continued, "As I was saying, it was weird. He just looked at me funny and was like 'Hi daughter that I've never met in my life, I love you'."

"Sorry, I couldn't do it." I hugged her.

"It's okay! I love you Kato." I could hear the soft smile in her voice.

"If anyone picks on you, I'll beat the shit out of them." She said and giggled.

"I'm suppossed to be the big brother."

"Yeah, older than me by about three minutes." She rolled her eyes as I said bye and awkwardly walked back to my friends.

"What just happened?" Nick questioned and I realised Ash had joined the group.

I shook my head and I didn't want to talk. Dani gave me a look, letting me know she heard our conversation. She didn't say a word about it.

"You were going to tell me who you liked..." She pushed again.

I blushed a deep shade of red and refused to lay my eyes anywhere near Ash. "No, I wasn't. Shush."

"So there IS someone!" Nick exclaimed.

I was about to say something when I turned around and hit my head on my locker over and over.

"Okay, pretty boy. Stop causing yourself more damage." Ash stopped my head from hitting the locker by putting his hand in the way. I squealed internally and turned to look at him.

Just seeing his face made me so nervous and giddy. I smiled and turned to face the group again, Ash kept his hand on my ass but the others couldn't see.

"I'll see ya'll at lunch!" Dani and Dylan walked away.

"Bye guys!" Nick called as he ran after them.

"See ya." Ash winked at me and we both went our seperate ways to class.

No one beat me up today, Nick would murder them if they tormented me. Dani and I were putting away books in the bookstore. She went to go turn on the neon sign that read 'Book Rack' then came back over to me.

"Kato?"

"Yerrr." I said.

"It's Ash." My entire body stopped as I looked at her.

"....What?" I finally managed out. Ash hadn't dumped her, so how does she know?

"I see the way that you look at him. It's okay you like Ash. Everything is fine. I'll end it with him, for you." She smiled.

"....What?" I mumbled again. "You would do that for me?" I was so confused.

"Absolutely. You know that I'll move on soon anyways. I can't do this to you, torture you by being in a relationship with him. He may not be interestsd in you, but this is the least I can do." But she didn't know that he actually did.

"Thank you so much Dani." I gave her a hug. I can't believe she would do this for me.

She pulled away. "Do you want to talk about your dad now? It's perfectly fine if you aren't ready, nobody is going to judge you." I shook my head no.

She pulled back into the hug and hugged me hard. "I love you Danielle." I gave her a sloppy kiss on the forehead.

"Ew, 'Danielle'." She spat and smiled at me. "Get back to the books lazy!" She giggled and picked up a pile of books, heading down the next aisle.
