I looked out the window of Max's car. The night sky was dark on the side of the car. I turned and looked at Max. He was nervous and was slightly shaking his hands on the wheel. I looked down. "You nervous?" I said. He took a deep breath. "How do I know she'll be comfortable holding my hand or sitting close to me or... even talking to me?" He looked at his watch and shook his head. I looked up at the front window. "Listen, Skylar invited Adam, Alesa, Shelby, you and me for a little couple's after party. If Shelby wasn't okay with calling you guys a couple, she wouldn't go." I could tell he lighten up a little. I smiled. "Max, Shelby likes you. I know she does. You don't have to be nervous." He nodded.

We parked in front of the huge hotel that Skylar was staying at. I stepped out of the car and looked up at the hundreds of floors standing on top of each other in a luxurious manner. Max stood next to me. "I didn't know she was this rich." he said, taking in the panorama of lights. I nodded and eyed the sixth floor. There was a purple light gleaming from a window in one of the rooms. I pointed at it. "There, Skylar said look for a purple light." Max nodded. "Then let's go."

Max pushed a button in the elevator and the doors closed. The elevator lifted us up slowly. I looked to the left and saw myself staring. The huge mirror on the side of the wall glared at me. I looked away. The moving stopped and the elevators open. Max and I stepped out of the elevator. We turned around the corner and headed for Skylar's suite. I looked around for her room number. Then we stopped in front of a fancy carved door. I sighed. "Okay, knock."
