Cinder woke up with a sense of vertigo as she sat up in the bed. The first thing that she could notice was that the sheets were really soft. She was wearing the same shorts as yesterday, and already the heat was starting to rise in this mystery room. The mattress was luxurious, and the sheets felt like clouds

With blurry eyes still waking up, she peered around the room, spotting a door in the corner, a nightstand by the bed, and a dresser on the far side of the room.

She also noticed that the room was huge

The door in the corner opened, a wall of steam flooding out, and from the center of the flurry stepped out...

There was a squawk and an almost feminine scream, and the door slammed, leaving the steam to wisp out, catching in the sunlight filtering through the windows.

Cinder blinked, the sheets in a pile around her crossed legs, a strand of hair sticking up.

The door opened again, and a messy haired Kai peeked out. There was a fluffy white towel around his waist and another around his neck, falling open around his collarbone. The water glittered off his hair, dripping onto the nook of his neck, right where the slope of his neck and shoulder met.

"You're awake." Kai said, hastily trying to dry his hair off.

"I see that." Cinder stated, and he laughed a little. The entire room started to smell like his soap, and the room heated up even more. At least her metal hand wouldn't be absolutely freezing this morning.

She peered around him, spotting a huge bathroom and a shower made entirely of glass. Oh.

It took a moment for her to realize that she was somewhere with a dripping wet, half naked Kai.

Cinder leaned against the headboard, while Kai dried off his hair, now actually wearing clothes. He had his long legs half crossed and was wearing a white shirt with short black sleeves. Well, maybe in the sunlight they were more of a navy color.

"So... Where are we?" Cinder asked, looking around at the high ceiling and the walls that were so, so far away.

"Uhh... My room..." Kai stammered a little, and Cinder laughed a little. The entire room did radiate the care free vibrance of him, and the sheets did smell like him.

"Oh. Well, it's nice." Cinder leaned forward, taking his hand. His thumbs rubbed in little circles over the back of the smooth metal, and he looked at her. He leaned in, his eyes fluttering, and the slightest flush coloring his cheeks like they always did, and Cinder came forward, her hand reaching up to touch the base of his neck lightly.

Their lips were a hair's breath away from each other, and...

The door crashed open.

Author's Note: I'm sorry for having such a short chapter after such a long period of time. I'm working on it, I promise. I'm so sorry *cri*.
