Chapter Six

I woke up with a huge smile on my face. I actually felt like a teenager again. I stretched my arms thinking about last night then I looked over at Eden, who wanted to sleep with me because he missed me. I softly laughed and wiped his hair away from his eyes. My little handsome boy. I got up and went to the bathroom and did my hygiene then went to the kitchen to make Eden some breakfast. After I was finished making his food I made his plate and sat it on the table. As soon as I did so he walked in the dinning room rubbing his eyes.
"Good morning babe" I said to him while getting some orange juice.
"Good morning mommy, is this food for me?" He said walking to his chair.
"Mhmm yes it is, did you brush your teeth baby"
"Of course mommy" he said sitting in his chair.
"Okay well eat up" I said sitting into my chair. I started eating when I got a phone call. Without looking at the caller id I answered.
"Hello?"
"Cat?" I rolled my eyes it was Elvis.
"Yes?" I said getting up to leave the room. "I'll be right back Eden mommy has to take this call okay?" I said to Eden and he nodded his head and continued to eat.
"Can I please see Eden? Please. I beg of you" I heard him plead. He sniffed and my eyes widened as my heart pumped.
"I'll do anything, just let me meet my son!" He sobbed on the other line. I sighed. I don't know what to do.
"I-I'll think about it Elvis....." I said, he said okay and I hung up. I inhaled deeply and exhaled before walking back to the dinning room. Eden was all done eating and was sitting at the table waiting for me.
"So what do you want to do today sweetie?" I asked him.
"Can we just stay home and watch movies?" He said with a yawn.
"Yeah we can do that, wanna watch Disney movies?" I asked while finishing my food. " lets go to the store and get some ice cream and some snacks okay?"
"Okay mommy! I'll go get dressed!" He said running to his room. I got up and started cleaning the dishes and then went to my room to throw on some pants and and a jacket. When I was finished getting dressed I put my sneakers on and went to check on Eden.
"Ed babe, are you ready?" I said walking to his room.... I looked around his room and he wasn't in it.
"EDEN!!" I yelled and heard no reply. I ran down stairs to see the door wide open. I looked down the hall and saw Eden walking with a man.
"Eden!?" I yelled and they stopped walking. I ran down the hall and snatched Eden away from him.
"Are you okay baby?" I asked he just looked down and frowned.
"Mommy.... This man says he's my daddy" I looked up at the man and to my surprise it was Elvis. I stood up and slapped the shit out of him.
"What the hell?! Who the hell do you think you are Elvis?! Coming to my house taking MY SON outside of those doors!" I was furious, I took Eden's hand and dragged him back to my apartment.
"Cat! Wait! Please just.... Can we just spend the day together?" Elvis said running up to us. I had tears threatening to leave my eyes, I was so angry. I looked at him and saw my hand print on his cheek, then looked at Eden. He was crying. I softened my face and bent to his level.
"Baby I'm so sorry" I said and hugged him. "Would you like to spend the day with Elvis? I mean he c-can join us if you'd like that" I really could care less of what Elvis wanted but my baby boy, I would give him the world.
His eyes lit up and the biggest smile appeared on his face "I'd love to Mommy!" I smiled and stood back up to glare at Elvis.
"Come." Was all I said as I closed my apartment door and headed towards the car. "We're going to the grocery store, so have your wallet ready to buy anything he asks for" I finished. I glanced at him from the corner of my eye and I could see the happiness radiating from his face.

Last night was wonderful. I dreamt of it all night, Cat is just something else. I sat up on my bed and stretched my arms. That was the best sleep I've ever had. I smiled to myself as I reached for my phone to see a text from Cat.
Cat💜: Thanks for tonight had a great time. Goodnight Daniel.
Im so happy that it turned out as great as it did, now we can plan for date #2. In the mean time I need to get up and run to the grocery store.

The car ride consisted of Elvis talking to Eden about what he likes. If only Elvis wouldn't have left me when I was 18, I would've been enjoying this. I mean it would've been different if he'd gone to the military but he chose to not stick around. My grip on the steering wheel gotten tighter as I got angrier. I had to calm down, this was wasting too much energy, I need to show him how happy I am that he's not here. We pulled up at Wal-Mart and I got out the car and went to take Eden out. As soon as he was out the car I locked the doors and headed in the store with Elvis trailing behind us. I looked at him and saw him on his phone smiling.
"Mommy can I go walk with my daddy?" I hesitated but said sure and watched him leave me for that bastard.
"Hey little man" I heard him say, I rolled my eyes and grabbed a basket and waited for them to catch up.
"I'm so happy you're back from your work in Korea daddy, my mommy told me you were gonna be back" Eden said excitedly. My heart stopped for a second as I screamed why in my head. I could feel Elvis staring at the back of my head.
"I'm just as happy that I'm back, I am never leaving again" he replied. I couldn't help but smile a bit.
"Ms. Your family is beautiful" a little old woman said to me. I smiled at her and then looked at Elvis and Eden. They were smiling and laughing, all you saw was love in their eyes. The sight in front of me unlocked the box that kept all of my feelings toward Elvis away.
"Yeah, they are beautiful. Thank you Ma'am" she patted my shoulder and walked away with her husband.
"Okay now, Eden you gotta pick some snacks out now so we can go back and watch Disney Movies"
"Okayyyy Mommy, daddy can you help me?" He said turning to Elvis. I smiled a little, Elvis looked up at me, searching for permission. I nodded my head.
"I'm gonna go look for something for dinner, take the basket okay?" I said to them. I handed Elvis the basket and he grabbed my arm and pulled me into a warm hug.
"Thank you so much Caterina, You just made me the happiest man in the world" I hesitated but hugged him back softly. This is gonna take some getting used to. He released me and I headed to the front to get a smaller basket. When I turned around I met gaze with Daniel.
