The Aspen Room | Omaha, Nebraska

Celina's POV

This party definitely was not my scene.

I stood in the far left corner of the room as my dad made his way networking around the room.

Quickly grabbing a glass of champagne off of a passing waiters tray, I turned my back and walked out towards the back patio.

I sighed in relief as the summer air hit my heated face. Closing the door gently behind me, I took a small sip of my drink.

"Is this the or something?" I heard a familiar sounding person ask, a small tone of amusement laced in his deep voice.

I slowly turned my head, a small grimace on my face as a short laugh slipped past my dark red lips.

"I sure as hell hope not." I remarked, taking another sip of wine as my brown eyes met blonde boy's deep blue ones.

"I'm Sammy." He said, holding his hand out slightly.

"Celina." I replied, shaking his hand briefly before dropping it.

"So, are you stalking me or something?" I asked, joking a little as we looked out at the garden below the building.

A laugh fell from the boys chapped lips, his hands getting shoved into his pockets.

"As interesting and appealing as that sounds, no I am not stalking you." He answered, glancing over at me in amusement.

"What a shame, it would've seemed endearing." I teased, placing my drink down on the bannister.

Blondie smiled a little before shaking his head a little.

"You're different, aren't you?" He inquired, smirking a little.

"From the girls around here? I sure hope so."

"Not just from the girls around here, from girls around anywhere." He replied, watching me intently.

I slowly looked over at him, raising an eyebrow at the tall boy in front of me.

"And what makes you say that?" I challenged.

He shrugged his shoulders before laughing a little to himself.

"I don't really know, just the feeling you give off I guess. You seem like you'd be this huge bitch; no offense. But the first thing you did was joke with me tonight. You dress like you have your shit together, but I bet if I asked you what you wanted to do all you would say is travel or something... I don't know, you're just something different."

My mouth fell open a little as I stared at the boy in front of me. I didn't know what to say.

"Then take me somewhere, find out if I'm really as different as you think."
