It'd been a week since I'd talked to or seen Sammy. After our night at the beach, he dropped me off at home and never called, or returned my texts.
I wasn't usually the kind of girl that waited around for a guy, but it was hard not to think twice about Sammy.
I walked through the streets of downtown Omaha, smiling to myself when I saw a little coffee shop named The Brew.
I pushed the glass door open and walked in, the familiar smell of expresso and baked treats filling my nose.
I looked down at my outfit and smiles a little in content. I looked cute today.

I stepped to the front of the line and smiled at the cute barista in front of me. He had a little scruff, and tattoos down both arms.
"Hi, what can I get you beautiful?" He asked warmly.
A small blush rose to my cheeks as I answered.
"Can I have an iced white mocha lattè with two sugars?" I asked politely, tucking a stray hair behind my ear.
"Of course, can I get a name?" He asked, raising an eyebrow?
"Celina." I said, taking my money out and paying the cashier as he made my coffee.
I stepped to the side to wait for my coffee and glanced around, my eyes landing on a tiny corner in the back.
"Celina?" The same boy asked, smiling as he held my coffee out for me to take.
I stepped towards him and took the drink, smiling slightly.
"Thank you." I said, grabbing a straw.
"No problem." He smirked, biting his lower lip gently before going back to his station.
I walked towards the corner booth in the back and smiled, sitting down by myself.
Glancing down at the cup, my eyebrows furrowed when I saw writing.
A smile came on my lips when I read:
Celina, call me at 323-493-1206 or wait around another fifteen and we'll hang out?? I'd love to know why I'd been unlucky enough to never see you before. - Nate
I looked up when I finished reading and saw the tattooed boy watching me with a smile. I blushed a little and took a sip of my drink, sitting back and playing on my phone, waiting for Nate to finish his shift.
