I attempted to walk towards the camp as fast as possible so no one would notice that I was gone, and so I could wash the blood off in the sea that was dripping down from my elbows and knees to the ground.

“Oh my god! Whitney, what happened to you?!” I heard Brooke gasp as I finally reached the camp. She ran towards me and grabbed my arm, forcing me to lean on her so she could support me.

“I-it’s nothing” I told her, not wanting to cause any kind of drama.

“Well, obviously something happened! Look at you! Your bleeding! Did something attack you?!” She leaded me over to the sea to clean my wounds.

“No, I just fell, but don’t tell the others okay?” I said as I realized that she was the only one awake yet.

“Well, what were you doing in the forest then? All alone?!” She kept on questioning me.

“I just couldn’t sleep, so I went for a walk” I honestly told her.

I shivered as my feet connected with the cold water, I kept on walking further until the water covered my thighs, leaving Brooke alone on the sand.

“Fucking hell” I groaned as the sea water was only making the pain worse, it felt like someone just spilled a glass of alcohol all over it. I took deep breaths through my nose, attempting to forget about the pain, but It only worked for a short amount of time.

I made sure that I stayed in the water until me elbows stopped bleeding before I made my way over to Brooke again, who was Impatiently waiting on me.

“Why are you up so early then?” I questioned Brooke as we both walked towards the, what supposed to be a campfire yesterday, campfire.

“I’m a morning person” She proudly smiled as she helped me to sit down.

“Yeah I can see that” I was the exact opposite, I was super grumpy in the morning, I never understood why people could be so happy that early, the world just looked depressive in my eyes at that certain moment.

We talked a little bit about ourselves, just getting to know each other. I was glad that she stopped questioning me about my wounds, I hadn’t planned on telling her about the coin, yet, maybe I would do it later, I  mean .. someone had to help my anyways if I wanted to get the coin.

After an half hour or so Courtney woke up and joined us.

“ Morning” She rubbed her eyes and took a seat next to Brooke, great, another person who’s grumpy in the morning, at least I wasn’t the only one here then.

“Morning! How did you sleep?” Brooke asked her as she gave her a kind smile.

“Not?” She chuckled. “Those freaking mosquito’s were annoying the crap out of me! Look!”She pointed at her leg where she had 5 mosquito bites in a row.

“Yeah I couldn’t sleep either, I felt like there where hundreds or something” I mentioned as suddenly another person sat next to us. I turned my head around and mentally rolled my eyes.

It was Samantha.

“Good morning to you too” Courtney sarcastically remarked.

“I’m hungry” She simply stated as she she ran her hand through her dirty blonde hair which was full of knots, my hair wouldn’t have looked any better, but still.

No one replied to her comment, causing her to mumble something under her breath, I was quite happy that I didn’t heard it, otherwise I would have probably attacked that girl, she was just so freaking annoying. Normally I wasn’t easily annoyed, but there was something about here that  was so wrong…
