Chapter 10

Two assistants suddenly appeared with one plate in their hands each. They made their way over so Stan and Laura, who were both seated on seat one, and put the plate down in front of them. The plate’s were covered with a towel, so we weren’t able to see the dish yet.

“Round one! Ding ding ding!” He attempted to imitate the bell that they use when a boxing match is about to start, causing him to let out a small giggle because of his own lame joke.

“ Stan and Laura! You can take off the towel now!” John announced.

Stan and Laura revealed the green leaves that were placed on their plates as they both did what john told them to do.

A leaf? I was expecting worse things than…  a leave .. even though it was just round one.

With no hesitation they both picked up all the leaves at once and put it into their mouths. Stan chewed on it a few times, unlike Laura who just swallowed it. They both opened their mouths at the end, making sure that John would see that they both swallowed it, so he could give them a point.

“Well done! One point for team red and blue! Now… over to seat two! Brooke versus Miranda! Let the dishes be served please!” He pointed to the two assistants, gesturing them to come with the next dish.

After a short amount of time they appeared again, this time, with a cup into their hands which was covered with a towel as well.

“What is it..?” Brooke politely asked as she took the towel off and a green sort of smoothie was placed in front of her. It is safe to say that it didn’t looked appetizing at all.

“It’s grass “John answered her question as he twirled his mustache with his fingers.

“oh” Was her only reaction, before she closed her eyes and squeezed her nose tight with two of her fingers,so she wouldn’t smell it. without a break in-between she swallowed all of it.

But sadly Miranda swallowed it as well.

“One point each again!” He drew two stripes on the chalkboard behind him, which was actually keeping up our score. “Seat three! Shane and Sara! Your turn!” He smirked as the assistants came in view with a plate once again.

Shane took off the towel, causing Brooke to gasp. It was an cricket, one who was actually still alive, I realized as he started to jump up and down on Shane’s plate.

“Oh my god” I heard Sara whine as she found the cricket that was onto her plate as well.

‘yes’I thought to my selves as she looked at the little insect full of disgust, this could be our winning point!

“come one man you can do it!” Louis motivated Shane as he noticed that he was just staring at it.

He took a deep breath through his nose and exhaled through his mouth as he grabbed the cricket, he squeezed his eyes thigh before he quickly brought it up to his mouth. He bit the cricket in two pieces, so he would be dead before he would actually be in his mouth.

He quickly chewed a few times on it and finally swallowed it, he opened up his mouth, to show that it was empty and proudly smiled at him selves.

“Well done!” Louis walked over to him to pat him on his back, it was lovely to see how Louis and Shane were becoming such good friends, even though they only knew each other for 2 days now.

I rolled my eyes as I watched Sara swallow the cricket a few minutes later.

 “That makes three points for team red, and three points for team blue!” John faked a smile, I knew that he would have loved to see someone puking already.
