I know.

They live inside of me,

Under my bed,

In my heart

They haunt me every night

But once in a while,

My monsters will let me sleep in peace

With closed off doors

And blinds pulled shut

We sleep in soundless slumbers

For when the time is right

And light covers the sky,

My monsters wake me

But instead of taunts,

They come to say goodbye

With twisted tongues and frazzled hair

They all go to hide inside of a new soul

They left me to haunt another
