Placing her on her feet Mel made a move to walk away from Linc heading to the other side of the car before he tugged her back.
"That was very nasty of you," he said. "But I did enjoy your conversation especially the part were I am yours," Linc said tapping her earpiece as she realised she didn't end the call from their previous conversation. He chuckled seeing her look away in embarrassment.
"Well what can I say. I am territorial when it comes to my family," she said.
"Yes, I have observed," he chuckled releasing her.
"Buckle up," he said starting the car just as Raquel walked out of the restaurant.
"Sure thing dad," she said rolling her eyes at him.
"Roll your eyes at me one more time woman and I will have you screaming more than just daddy right here right now," he said in a serious tone as she smiled at him before rolling her eyes as he started the car with a smile full of promise.

"Hey Linc, Mel I am coming in. Are you guys decent," Ethan yelled outside their office door.
Caspian sniggered looking at his friends as they sat engrossed in their work.
"Come in Ethan," Linc growled obviously annoyed at being disturbed.
Ethan walked in greeting them cheerfully spotting Cas he laughed.
"Oh Cas you are here thank God. Last time I barged into their office I...well let's just say I don't want a repeat of that," he said making Cas look at Linc questioningly.
Linc looked at Mel as she stood up clearly embarrassed as Linc sent Ethan an 'I'm gonna kill you' look.

"What brings you here brother?"
"Oh sorry almost forgot. Wait Mel don't leave."
Mel turned to take back her seat as Linc stood up from his.
"So you guys know the Shares auction is coming up in a few days right?"
"Yes Ethan," Linc sighed.
"Guess who is attending this year?" He said wearing a wide grin.

"I love your idea very much," Cas said rubbing his jaw.
"I know right," Ethan said as Linc walked over to Mel whispering something into her ear making her giggle.
"Who knew you had a brain in that head of yours Ethan," Mel sniggered laughing at the scowl on Ethan's face. "I thought Lia was the brains and you were...well just you," she continued.
Ethan glared at her as she said, "What? You started it..."
"Okay fine Mel. I will never bring that day up. You win," he said as his expression softened replaced by a smile.

"Now as I was saying...." Ethan continued.

The Shares auction

"I hate these functions," Linc grumbled straightening out his bow tie.
"Oh hush darling," Mel said standing in front of him removing his hands from his throat. "Besides you never complain when we have the afterparty," she said seeing his cheeks redden.
"How did I ever get so lucky," he said placing his hands on her waist.
"Who said luck had to do with us being together, because if I remember correctly I was the one who did most of the work in making us possible," she said with a smile seeing his perplexed expression.
"I believe I have a different version because I was the one who had to chase away all those flies just so you could be mine," he said his voice dropping an octave lower.
"Oh really?"
"Yes," he whispered brushing his lips against hers as she closed her eye only to open them when she felt nothing more. Linc was looking at her with a devilish smile as Mel stood back straightening his tie.
"I will be down in a minute, let me get dressed," she said.
"I could always stay and help you out," he said with a sly smile.
"I don't think so Mr," she said disappearing into their closet.
