Chapter 16

  We got downstairs & Trevor was sitting on the couch with his back turned to us, when he heard my footsteps he stood up & turned around automatically, but when he saw I had Adelaide he smiled even bigger than he did when he saw me at the park after one year.
"Trevor Adelaide, Adelaide this is your daddy." I stated walking closer to Trevor.
"Daddy...?" she said confused
"Hi baby girl. I'm your daddy; it's nice to finally meet you princess." Trevor stated standing in front of me. Adelaide reached for him & he looked at me, I nodded & handed her to him. He kissed her temple & she giggled.
"She has your giggle Aspen." He stated smiling.
"She has your looks though." I replied smiling looking at how happy Adelaide was so happy to be in her father's arms. Maybe this can work out...
                                                                                  *An Hour Later*
We ended up watching Adelaide's favorite movie, Aladdin. Trevor also got to know more about Adelaide. Halfway through the movie Adelaide ended up falling asleep on Trevor's lap, I grabbed my phone from the table beside the couch & taking a picture. Trevor looked up at me & smiled after I took, I smiled back.
"I think it's her bedtime." I commented
"Oh okay." He replied starting to get up & handing her to me.
"Do you wanna put her to bed for the first time..?" I asked him stopping him from handing her to me. He looked at me surprised.
"Come on Trevor, you wanna be in her life, why not start now. This won't be the only time you put her to bed." I said giggling, he looked at me smiling.
"I love you baby." He said walking over to me & kissing my forehead. I smiled & moved aside so he can take her to bed.
"Her bed is the first one on the right when you walk up the stairs." I stated, he nodded & started walking. I followed behind him & when he got to her bedroom he walked over to her crib & laid her down gently & just stood there looking at her. I smiled watching how happy he was with her; he turned around & walked up to me. I looked up at him & he leaned in & kissed me, I missed this...
*The Next Morning*
I woke up in bed to the smell of pancakes, I got out of bed & when I walked past Adelaide's room I noticed she wasn't in her room. I started to panic a little & ran downstairs, until I saw that Adelaide was sitting in her high chair at the table & Trevor was in the kitchen setting up two plates full of pancakes & grabbing some baby food for Adelaide as he turned around to the fridge. I smiled & walked up to him & hugged him from behind.
"Good morning beautiful!" He cheered, turning around to kiss me real quick.
"Good morning handsome," I stated smiling at him, "& good morning to you beautiful!" I sang walking over to Adelaide, kissing her cheek as she giggled & kissed my cheek. I smiled & sat next to her, just as Trevor brought out the plates & the Adelaide's food.
Once Trevor sat down, I grabbed Adelaide's food, but was stopped by Trevor.
"Let me! I haven't feed her for the past 8 months; I wanna catch up on everything I possibly can." I smiled & started eating my food.
"So, I was thinking we could invite the gang over today, let them meet Adelaide & then we can tell them everything & our plan." He said, I nodded & finished eating. I put my plate in the dishwasher & soon Trevor was finished along with Adelaide. I grabbed his plate & put it in the dishwasher, then came back to start cleaning up Adelaide's face & I let Trevor change her while I cleaned up the kitchen & Adelaide's high chair. After she was changed, there was a knock on the door; Trevor opened it & the gang walked in.
"ASPEN!!!!" I heard Lexi shriek, I laughed & hugged her & then I hugged the guys. They all came in & sat down, Trevor told them about the plan & how he was gonna quiet the gang & was leaving Nic in charge. Everyone was fine with it & was understanding, but just like Trevor said they wanted to still be a part of not only our lives, but Adelaide's.
"Well that is totally fine, as long as Adelaide likes ya'll." I joked, knowing she would love them. I went to get her from her play room, to find her sleeping on the floor. I walked over to her & lifted her up carefully, & then I walked back out to the living room. Everyone's eyes went to me when they heard my footsteps. Trevor automatically came by my side just as Lexi walked over & asked if she could hold her; I handed her over & surprisingly Adelaide didn't wake up.
"She is beautiful Aspen."
"Just like her mother." Trevor stated looking down at me, I looked up at him & he leaned in & kissed me... I watched as the guys came up & surrounded Lexi & Adelaide & in that moment, I knew I had everything I could possibly want... & Hey what's so wrong with Adelaide having three gang members a part of her family, at least I know she'll always be protected no matter what... I mean who would wanna mess with her dad, when he was the leader of the most wanted gang...
