LOVING A LIE

Chapter 1

"I'm leaving, love ya sweetness!" I yelled out to my mother while giggling. I heard her laugh softly from the kitchen.

"Amy be safe and call me when you get there please, oh and remember babies come back with you!"

I rolled my eyes while heading out to Stacy's black Hyundai and threw my bags in.

"Are you ready for Corpus Christi?" she howled

"The real question is, is Corpus Christi ready for us!" I yelled like a rock star causing us both to bust out laughing. Stacy was my crazy best friend we have both always been a little wild since we were in diapers. She was a little more responsible then me, but only a little. Stacy is about 5'4 maybe 110 pounds. She has a slight tan and long curly Brown hair to complement her dark brown eyes. She was so pretty I enveyed her but she always said I was just as pretty as her. I'm taller at 5'7 and 130 pounds I'm pretty darn curvy with dark blonde hair almost brown. I got my mothers eyes a bright blue with green. We jumped in her car and she pulled out and we were on our way. Stacy's dad owned a vacation home in Corpus just off the beach. He is letting us go there for our birthdays. See I turn eighteen tomorrow and then Stacy turns eighteen the day after. Stacy turned the radio up as our favorite song came on.

"I come around like what goes around

what goes up must come down

anyone who comes up must go down

might as well go for the gusto now

better not let up, better not let them breath..." we sang at the tops of our lungs. Stacy bounced her head up and down as I played air guitar fiercely. The song ended and Stacy turned the volume back down.

"So what's the first thing you wanna do when we get there?" she watched the road carefully as she talked to me. Hmmm beach? Boys? Sand? Yup.

"Let's check out the beach and find us some cuties!" I giggled

"Yeah you really need to get over that crazy ass Luis." I nodded all of a sudden not so happy as I was brought back to the memory's.

Luis was my ex boyfriend, we had met in junior high and been friends for awhile. He asked me out sophomore year and I said yes. At first it was okay but then he got jealous he wouldn't let me have any guy friends. If he saw a guy even standing next to me in the hall he would freak out. I ignored that thinking he was just trying to be a real boyfriend but then he started getting pushy. He would grab my wrists a little to tight or shake my shoulders hard enough to leave bruises. I dumped him just before the end of junior year and he wasn't to happy. He still calls and texts me all the time but I just ignore it. This summer was to let it all go and have fun so with that I shook the thoughts out of my head and listened to the radio as we drove.

After about three hours we made it to Corpus and to the house. The house was a pretty blue green color and literally right on the beach. We jumped out of the car full of excitement and unpacked all our stuff. I changed in to my black and pink bikini and threw my hair up in a loose pony tail. Stacy was wearing her purple bikini already so we grabbed our bags and headed out. It was around 5:00 in the afternoon and the beach was beautiful. We walked along the shore letting the water tickle our toes. Finally we found a bunch of people running around and having fun so we laid our towels out and sat down.

"This is awesome Stacy! Remind me to thank your dad again." I starred out at the water shimmering in the light.

"Yeah I know I love it here, no need to thank me or my dad what are best friends for?"
