Chapter 13

Mary walked in and sat down beside Jake grinning madly.

"I'm sorry I'm late, did I interrupt?" more then you know.

"It's okay mom we were just about to find out the sex." Jake smiled

I looked back up at Dr. Reed.

"Okay now say hello to your beautiful baby boy!" Dr reed chinned excitedly. Yes! I knew it.

"Darien Lee Martin." Jake sighed contently. I smiled wildly!

"I can believe it! Our baby boy it's getting so real now!"

"My first grandson how amazing!" Mary was ecstatic.

Dr. Reed finished the appointment and told us our next appointment was in exactly one month from now. Jake and I jumped in his car and buckled up.

"Shopping?" Jake grinned

"Yes!" I laughed happily who knew shopping for your baby would be more fun then just shopping. We drove to the next town over and back to baby's r us. We walked in hand in hand and smiled at all the baby's there.

"Crib?" told me more then really asked.

We walked over to the huge crib section. I looked at about fifteen cribs till I found the perfect one. It was blue with little foot balls and basket balls on it.

"It says here that it is one of the top rated cribs for safety." Jake smiled he has been doing that with everyone.

"I want it!" I grinned happily as he put the huge box in the basket.

We walked threw the whole store as Jake grabbed everything he possibly could. We had a bouncer a high chair a baby blue car seat which was EXPENSIVE! Due to the fact that it was extra safe. We picked out at least thirty out fits I even had to make him put a bunch back.

We approached the check out line so I pulled out my wallet.

"Put that up I've got it."'Jake pushed my hands down. I frowned.

"I want to help it's my baby to you know and this is going to cost alot!"

Jake kissed my fore head tenderly. "Babe I think your doing most of the work so far, plus I want to feel like I'm doing everything I can at this stage." I smiled brightly as he paid the woman. Jake was going to be the best father a baby could ever hope for. We finally made it back to our home and chris came out to start unloading, of course i didn't get to help Jake made me wait inside.

"Do you think y'all bought enough! It's not like the baby's going to be here in two days!" chris said sarcastically.

"I know but Jake couldn't control himself!" I laughed as chris lilies the box's up.

Jake came in grinning sheepishly. "Hey I couldn't help it! Amy let's pick out which room you want him to be in."

"So it is a boy thanks for telling me." chris huffed.

"I'm sorry we have been in a hurry." I laughed again.

Jake took my hand as we walked down the hall. The house was a four bedroom so there was two bedrooms left. One was right beside the bathroom and chris's room while the other was at the beginning of the hall farthest from us.

"I think the room by the bathroom is the best choice, because we can fill bottles there and wash our hands. Plus it's closer to our room then the other."

"Your right babe but I think the first couple weeks we should have the crib in our room just to be safe." Jake smiled proudly

"Your right, hey chris I'll pay you forty bucks if you put the crib together in our room." I smiled innocently.
