(3rd Person/Authors POV)
"Guys!" Ellie said quickly, knowing Abby wouldn't be able to contain it if she opened her mouth.
"What's happened?! Are you okay?" At her words the boys looked up, facing her and Abby let out a choked sound that Ellie knew was laughter.
"Do-do, you ha-ve any I-idea what y-ou loo-look like?" Abby stuttered, then they both burst out laughing.
After finally able to stop the laughter, they looked up and through their tears were met with agitated, angry, ludicrous glares.
"How dare you." Zayn grumbled in a dangerously low voice. "How dare you do that to me, to all of us!" His voice raising.
"Take a joke, Zayine-boy." Abby drawled. "No harm done, right. Just a prank, guys."
"Just a prank? No harm done!" Harry exploded. "My hairs frickening straight, but if you haven't noticed, were in Greece, on holiday and I'm GREEN! How am I supposed to go to the pool or beach like this?!"
"Calm your not-so-curls, Hazza. Give your hair another wash with your ordinary shampoo and it'll soon go back to your usual mop." Ellie spoke up, trying to defuse the tension.
"Anyways," Abby scoffed. "Your getting a little too hairy, anyway, I observed. You can shave it all off now. See, were doing you a favour!"
"A favour? If you haven't noticed, Liam and Louis are traumatised!" Niall pointed out, frowning at Ellie in disappointment. "Why did you prank me, El?"
Ignoring his last comment, Abby answered. "Don't be so melodramatic. They'll be fine. It's harmless. Their already coming back to their senses."
But Niall was still watching Ellie, as she squirmed under his intense gaze, feeling extremely uncomfortable.
"That wasn't funny, girls." Louis spoke up, voice still thick with tears. "You made me cry."
"C'mon, Lou. Don't exaggerate. You obviously weren't really crying. To be honest, If you actually were crying it would be pathetic." Abby said matter of factly.
"Excuse me?" Niall asked harshly. "Don't you even dare call him pathetic!" He hissed, as Ellie looked at him in disbelief.
"Don't talk to her like that!" Ellie told him.
"I can talk to her how ever I want when she's insulted one of my best friends!" Niall exclaimed.
"She didn't insult him! If you opened your ears you would have heard she said if. She said it would be pathetic if he actually cried over it!"
"Well he was! So therefore she was insulting him! So I can speak to her how ever I want! And its nothing to do with you!"
"Nothing to do with me?!" She shouted, as everyone became uncomfortable and awkward caught in the middle of their argument.
"Abby's my best friend, so don't you dare speak to her like that! And even if she was insulting him, she's right! Crying over a plastic pigeon and chopped up carrots? Yeah, that is pathetic!"
"WHAT?" Niall roared, face red, angry beyond words of what she was saying.
"Uh, Niall? It really doesn't matter. It was kind of stupid I guess, just cause of my phobia..." Louis interjected but he had already restarted shouting.
"Who do you think you are to say things like that about my friends! You know they mean the world to me!"
"Who do I think I am?" Ellie squeaked. "I think I'm no better than you, but your not better than me! Just because your famous doesn't mean you can talk to my friend like that, Horan."
The room feel silent at her words, as Ellie and Niall venomously glared at each other, and everyone knew she had hit a nerve.
If there's one thing that really annoys them is saying that act differently because of the band. When people insinuate the don't keep grounded, and let the fame get to their heads.
Abby and Harry exchanged meaningful looks and as she broke eye contact she spoke up, shattering the silence.
"Look, I didn't mean any offence, I'm sorry if I did, offend anyone that is. And we honestly didn't mean any harm by the pranks, truthfully."
"We know, Abby." Liam said soothingly. Zayn added, "It's okay, we shouldn't have reacted like that. We knew you was only joking around."
"No, it was stupid! Pranks are absolutely childish, and why the hell did you play one on me!?" He directed his question - and anger - to Ellie.
"Why wouldn't I play one on you? I played them on the rest of the boys, so why not you?"
"BECAUSE I'M YOUR BOYFRIEND! Your my girlfriend and I rather not be pranked by my girlfriend!"
"Then I'll relieve you of that." Ellie spoke bitterly. "Now your free to find a girl who has no sense of humour, just like you, popstar."
And with that she turned on her heel and stomped out of the room, flinging the door shut behind her so hard the room shook.
Niall just stood there, in a dazed trance. When it broke, his shoulders slumped forward and he asked shakily to no-one in particular;
"Di-did she just brake up with me?"
Head facing the floor Abby muttered she should go then left, leaving the room in an eerie silence. Until Harry spoke up.
"Niall..." He began but soon got interrupted by Niall.
"Don't, just lea-ve me al-alone. All of you." He managed to choke out, before standing up and exiting the room, eyes full to the brim with tears.
He flung himself down onto his bed and curled up into a fetal position, holding his legs to his chest and began shaking uncontrollably.
And cried the whole night.
