(Ellie's P.O.V)

Practically watching my best friend die in front of me was by far the hardest thing I've ever had to do.

Watching her heart beat gradually slow down to a critical minimum, and stopping.

Torture.

Still in the ambulance, I screamed at them to help her, it was obvious how much pain she's in, with her breathing getting uneven then stopping. It was all a horrific, terrifying cycle.

It did stop, her heart stopped, for a whole 10 seconds. It doesn't seem much, but when your there; it feels like a lifetime.

They just about managed to get her breathing, with help of a machine, but she was hardly alive, hardly breathing, hardly herself.

Rushing out of the ambulance I followed the many nurses and doctors, pushing Abby along quickly, talking so fast I could hardly understand what they were saying.

A nurse called 'Delia' came up to me, telling me I had to wait outside, I was about to object, when a pair of arms wrapped securely around my waist, and held me close.

Niall led me to some chairs and pulled me onto his lap and gave me a comforting hug, a much needed hug, at that.

I looked up from my eyes that were misty with tears to see the rest of the boys where here, and looking around at the faces of the boys and saw the faces of pity, worry, weakness, everything I was feeling at that point.

It helped to know that I'm not alone in my grief and pain.

We sat there for what seemed pointless hours on end, questioning every doctor that passed us. They all answered with the same,

"I’m sorry, we know nothing at this point, we only know as much as yourself."

"I'm sorry, we know nothing." I mimicked sternly. "Damn you all, it’s your job to know!"

Niall never let me go, which I was highly grateful for. I turned to speak to Liam, when I was interrupted by irregular, fast beeping coming from inside Abby's room.

Out of nowhere, bucket loads of nurses and doctors all rushed into her room, speaking rapidly, as I tried in vain to pick out what they was saying.  It seemed impossible, but one thing I heard loud and clear as they brought two metal pads things down onto her chest, "She's stopped breathing."

Sensing the rest of the boys had also heard it, I went sobs of hysterical crying, watching as Abby's lifeless, useless body jumped up when the metal buzzers made contact with her.

That's when I saw him, the head doctor, put them down, and all I heard was "Time of Death" before residual blood droplets obscured my vision, and everything went black as I fell heavily to the floor.

~.~

I awoke surrounded by white walls, on a bed with a sleeping Niall holding my hand. I blinked taking in my unfamiliar, peculiar surroundings, wondering where I was.

That's when I remembered. I was in the hospital; I fainted, because my best friend died.

My best friend since the age of three. My best friend who had always been there, always picking me up when I'm down. My bestfriend who protected me against everything, everyone, who I knew I could always rely on, always trust no matter what. The best friend, who's left me. Who's dead. Gone forever.

I let out a smothered sob; however Niall immediately awoke, and hugged me tightly to his chest whilst I cried into his shirt.

"I-I can't live wit-hout her, s-she can't be d-dead, she ju-st can't!" I sobbed.

"Don't worry babe, it's alright, she's not." He replied soothingly.

I pulled away and looked into his eyes and blinked unbelievingly. Wait, what?

(Niall's P.O.V)

The machines started beeping in Abby's room as doctors flooded into her room and started doing that thing they always do on the television when someone’s going to die, on her chest.

We watched as her body vibrated, and then heard "Time of death", and then Ellie fell to the ground.

Liam came over and checked her pulse, she was breathing.

A nurse came, told us she had fainted because of the stress on her body, her body had shut down to protect itself, and she will most probably be awake in a few hours.

Just as the nurse carried Ellie off, we heard a doctor exclaim.

"It’s a real life miracle, she's actually still alive!" I smile tugged on my lips as I went to follow Ellie, leaving Abby in the boy's hands, as I held her hand in both of mine, then I quite involuntarily into a light slumber.

I was awoken by a sudden smothered sob, and turned to see her awake. I hugged her and she cried into my shirt, wetting it, I don't care.

"I-I can't live wit-hout her, s-she can't be d-dead, she ju-st can't!" she sobbed.

"Don't worry babe, it's alright, she's not." I replied soothingly. Then she pulled away and looked at me, and decided to tell her.

"Listen babe, you fainted after that doctor said Abby was dead, but well, I don't know, and neither do the nurses, but she somehow come back alive!"

"So she isn't dead?"

"Nope, she isn't awake, and she's on life support at the moment, but she seems determined to hold on." She broke out into a weak smile.

And then looked down at herself, and then her face broke out into a look of sheer disgust.

"Ugh, why am I wearing this?" She asked and I just laughed at her, and passed her some clothes, so she could change out of the hideous hospital gown, but admittedly, she even looked good in that, she’d look good in pretty much anything.

"Can I go see her?" Ellie asked timidly, and I nodded, the doctor had agreed earlier, and the boys were already with her, as if she did wake up, we didn't want her to be alone.

"But, just to warn you, she doesn't look good. And they say she's got about 50% chance of survival."

She gulped and nodded, at least they was a slight chance of hope. When we entered the room, the boys all looked at us as El rushed over to Abby's side, and held her hand.

"You’re going to be okay, I promise. When you wake up, I'm going to sit through all of the Twilight movies with you, I promise." Ellie said, referring to Abby's Twilight obsession.

"I'll hold you to that." We heard someone holler in a raspier then usual voice, we all gasped, and turned to see Abby, awake!

"It's a miracle! She's awake! It's a miracle!" Louis jeered, making everyone laugh, including Abby herself.

Ellie hugged Abby tightly, and I couldn't help but notice how the room suddenly looked brighter when El smiled, oh god, oh soppy do I sound?

I sat with the rest of the lads whilst the girls talked animatedly to each other.

Everyone was so happy. I just hope it stays this.

SHE'S ALIVE :O! Hehe, I caught you for a minute there, didn't I?

Has anyone seen what 'The Mirror' newspaper has said about Louis' mum? Horrible. It's attacked the wrong fandom. They have no right, no business in their private life's! Disgusting! I was so angry when I read it! Even my mum says its uncalled for.

Anyway, rant over! Tell me what you think pwetty please :)!
