Chapter 2: A Royal Pain.

After walking down the dark, long stairway, lights started to flash. Which means it was probably populated by monsters. And good golly gosh, it had a lot of monsters. The girl smiles at the sight of nice looking monsters and decides to introduce herself. "Hi guys! I'm Marie! Its nice to meet you!"

The monsters froze in their tracks. They looked at Marie with terrified expressions. "A.... Human.... S C A T T E R!!" The monsters scrambled all over the place, into homes, hotels, stores, or any nearby object They can hide in. Silence filled the area, or, the wind blowing rather. Marie stood there baffled. Why did they run? Why were they scared? Who knows.

Meanwhile, in a gold castle decorated with seashells and other oceanlike objects, a mermaid in a fish bowl was very angry. Very angry indeed. I'd tell a pun, but she'll drown me. The mermaid's name was Mindy, and she was the queen of the Deep Underground. She ruled with an iron fin and a sassy attitude, keeping most subjects in check. Any who, back to her reason for anger. Her crown was missing for the literal 100th time and no matter how hard SHE looks, she can't find it.

"wHERE IS MY SEASHELL CROWN!? I could've sworn I had it ON MY HEAD!" She yelled, with her arms crossed. A lion with medium packed armor on named Noila spoke. His voice was that of a high baritone. "My queen, have you suggested looking inside your fish bowl?" Mindy growled. "YES I HAVE YOU DUNCE- wait a minute.." she looked at the bottom of her fish bowl. There her shiny gold seashell crown was. "Never mind" she swam down to get the crown and rose up, placing it on her head. "Enough about my crown, tell me some news. From good to bad." Noila pulled out a sheet of progress paper "Well, the good news is, every monster is obeying each and every law correctly." "Just what I like to hear. Any bad news?" "Not really" "Don't lie to me, you know how I feel about that" Noila sighed. "There have been massive reports of a human appearing in the main area. Citizens and subjects hid in places out of fear. Even our most bravest." Mindy was shocked. A human? In HER kingdom? Oh boy, this was seriously bad news. "But how did a human even FIND us!? Most importantly, how did a monster even manage to find the hiding spot...? Doesn't matter. FIND THEM AND BRING THEM TO ME AT ONCE!" Noila raised a finger to speak "with all due respect, your majesty, the human can be impossible to find. It could take a while to-" "I said.... F I N D T H E M!" "Y-Yes your highness!" he ran out the castle with his scythe equipped.
