Chapter 19: The TRUE RESET

Darkness... Complete and total darkness... She grasped her chest in slight remembrance of the area in which she was hit "Ah.... That... Really hurt..." she felt more scared now. It was completely dark.

Suddenly, a very tall robot stepped forth towards Marie with a big, wide, insane grin. "Human... So here you are... End of the line." Marie shivered in his presence. "Wh-Who are you...?" "Oh, my name? It's Neo Prime. But since I accidentally fell in the CORE, I'm known as Void Neo. Any who, let's cut to the chase.

... For a 6 year old." Marie had been hearing this word all day "what's determined mean....? Everyone keeps mentioning it!!" "Determined. Or DETERMINATION... It's basically what at least kept you from hurting others. Or most importantly, it's what caused you not to give up. Its what can get you a better ending." she held her head down. "I.... I just want to see my friends again..." "Oh well. Guess you should've never ran off. If only there was some way you can set things right. If only you could LOAD your SAVE. oh well! My business is done here. See ya, kid." he walks off. Suddenly two options appeared in front of her. Load, or RESET. "Load your save...." she pressed the load button.

She was in Peppi's shop again Julius had just went out the shop. There they were, Peppi, Cassia, Regita, Noila, E.C.H.O. and Zachary. They were still in shock. It's like they had zero memory of Marie leaving... "I.... I could set things right.... *Gasp* I COULD SET THINGS RIGHT!!!" She grabbed Peppi. "C'mon! I have An idea!" Peppi stumbled after her, trying to catch up. "We're going after him!? But I thought he said not to go after him!" Marie thought to herself. "I want to set things right... I want everyone to be happy..." Julius looked behind him. "Huh...? I thought I told ya not to follow me... What are ya doin' here...?" "I saw the way you guys were looking at each other! You had something special before! Almost like brother and sister!" Peppi and Julius stared into each other one last time...

Recollection flashed in Peppi's and Julius' eyes. They were both little kids. Julius being shorter with similar clothing styles only a bit younger. They actually WERE brother and sister. It was during the war between Man and Monster. Peppi was running with Julius in Snowdin to evacuate. But Peppi went too fast and was trampled by other monsters running away. Ever since that day, Peppi remained her days deeper underground, running her own shop. Julius temporarily stayed in Snowdin until... That day he met the genie... Ever since after that day, he ran away down to The deepest parts underground.

"Pep...? Is that really you...?" Julius PRAYED that it was her older sister. Peppi held his hand "Julius...?" they both smiled and felt some tears run down their cheeks. Embracing each other in a hug, they did it like there was no tomorrow. Marie had been watching their little reunion. She knew she can fix things. She had two more situations to fix. Julius spoke softly "Thank you, kid... I... I'm sorry for attempting to kill you. I honestly never wanted to have to kill a human..." he secretly looked inside his jacket. There the lavender soul was. In the jar. "Not again...." Marie hugged them both. Its like she completed a part of something... She doesn't know what it is yet. But it's close. "I have something else to handle... I'll be back okay, guys?" she walked away. Peppi let Julius go "let's go back to my restaurant, hm?" Julius smiled and stuck close to his big sister. While they were walking, Peppi looked down at Julius "Ehehe... I guess you did fine without me, huh? I see that you grew rather well... Or, shorter than you were before, rather." Julius scratched the back of his head. He was lightly frowning more than smiling "Actually... I was a wreck... I never wanted to be angry all the time... It's the stuff people do that make me angry. And... I'm sorry that I forgot you... It's just that- I... I'm sorry Pep-" he was suddenly hushed by a tight hug and a light kiss on the forehead. "Shhhh... It's okay, Julius. I'm here for you now. And I promise, I'll never, ever, leave you behind again.... You're my little brother, Julius." "And you're my big sister, Pep." they continued to hold hands while walking "you know what I realized, Pep?" Peppi looked down at Julius "What is it?" Julius embraced Peppi in a tight hug "I finally have a reason to be happy again..." Peppi choked up on tears from that sentence "Ehehe.... Y-you're welcome.. Fratellino... *Sniff* l-lets go get you some food, okay?"
