Chapter 11: An Act of Kindness

Meanwhile in Mindy's castle, Cassia had slammed the door open with her foot. She then strutted inside and placed a hand on her hip. Mindy looked at her furiously "WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!?" Cassia spoke in a firm tone. "What's the meaning of sending your brutes to my sweethearts restaurant? And for what!? For some lil' girl? You oughta be ashamed of yourself!" "Oh please.... She's better off suffering like you always make her do. You're nothing but an inconvenience to her." Cassia felt herself slowly losing her grip on keeping her cool "You don't know what you're talking about...." "Actually, I do know. She HATES you. Do you really think she'd be in a serious relationship with you!? Hmph... You really are that gullible." "STOP! PEPPI LOVES ME!!!" "Don't raise your tone at me! I should have you DROWNED. And what are you gonna do if I DON'T stop!?" Cassia took a melon, wrote 'your head' on it and then crushed it effortlessly between her thighs "THAT! IT'S GONNA BE A LESSON TO YOU!" Mindy was petrified at the sight of Cassia's actions. She suddenly regret everything She said. "L-Look, I-I was just joking! I never meant that! Just c-calm down..." "HEHEHEHEH YOU'RE TELLING ME TO CALM DOWN!? THAT'S IT-" She took off her high heels and had a psychotic look "I'M GONNA MAKE YOU SLEEP WITH THE FISHES" "WAIT NO!" E.C.H.O. suddenly bursted in with Mia in a cage. "MY QUEEN, I HAVE BROUGHT ONE TROUBLEMAKER" Mindy spoke in a panicking tone. "I DON'T CARE, TAKE CARE OF THAT PSYCHO!!!" Cassia looked at E.C.H.O. "I'LL GET YOU BEFORE YOU CAN GET TO ME!" Cassia charged at him. E.C.H.O. repeatedly shot laser beams out his eyes, but Cassia back flipped over each one. She then brought her leg around to spin kick him, but he blocked it with his leg in the same stance "I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH AGGRESSIVE LEGS." they both brought their feet down and began to send a flurry of bullet kicks at each other like some anime. Cassia just jumped up and locked her legs around E.C.H.O'S head, planted her hands on the ground and then proceeded to suplex him. "Heheheh! That oughta teach you not to mess with me!" E.C.H.O. immediately got up. He used his tail to throw her in Mia's cage. "AND THAT LADIES AND GENTLTEMEN, IS A CAPTURE WELL DONE!" E.C.H.O. then took them down to the dungeon and brutally threw them in the cell
He went upstairs to report to Mindy "THE PRISONERS ARE IN THEIR CORRECT PLACE, MY QUEEN" Mindy was incredibly shocked by the situation. "G-Good... Please continue your search for the human...."

Meanwhile, Marie was engaged in a fierce battle with Noila. She kept dodging his scythe slashes "Mr. Lion please! You don't have to do this!" "Of course I do! It's requested by the queen that you are brought to her. Now stop running and FIGHT!" He slashed at Marie again, nearly hitting her, but she dodged again. "PLEASE! I DON'T WANNA FIGHT YOU!" Hearing Marie's plea for help reminded him of when he was just a cub. Begging for mercy at the sight of a human. He snapped out of the mere memory and grew angered out of control. "I. SAID. F I G H T!" he did it. He struck her in the arm depleting her health down to 5. She held her arm crying out of pain. Noila looked at his scythe. Fresh blood. "What.... What have I done...." He dropped his scythe. Marie was sniffling and went away from him in panic. "D-DON'T HURT ME, PLEASE! I'M SORRY!" Noila instead spared her and went over to treat her wound. "No.... It is my fault. It was out of blind rage that I myself couldn't control... I'm going to treat your cut now, so stay still, okay?" he took out some bandage wrap out of his armor and placed it around Marie's arm. She cringed a bit due to the low amount of HP she has. All of that blood she had lost really took a lot out of her, so she went into her inventory and got the Grilled Cheese. It was still hot, surprisingly. She took a bite and felt so much better. Her HP was maxed out and the scythe cut was gone. "Mmm..... I'm glad I have more. You want one, Mr. Lion?" Noila was shocked with her words. "You're forgiving me? After the injury I've caused to you? ....why? You should be mad... Or at least upset... Why are you being so... Generous?" "Because I saw you didn't want to do this! And it's just like my daddy says: 'forgive and forget! The silver rule!'" "Uh... Don't you mean GOLDEN rule? I am pretty sure it's golden." "That's the last thing I remember! Here, I have two more, so just take one!" She handed him one of her Grilled Cheese sandwiches. He took a huge bite and felt better too "thank you.... I haven't eaten breakfast, either. So you sure did me a huge favor. I know exactly how to repay you... Since you are running, head that way, near the lighter part of the forest. It's near a smaller, lesser known civilization. You should be safe there." "Thank you Mr. Lion!" "Actually, my name is Noila. I would prefer if you called me that, considering that's my real name" "Well nice to meet you Noila! I'm Marie! Can we be fr-" her phone rang. It was Peppi! "Hello? Marie, are you there?" Marie was excited to hear her voice "PEPPI! I... I thought I wouldn't hear you again!" Peppi chuckled "Ehehe... Me too. Is everything okay? Where's Mia?" "She was taken to the castle...." "Dio Mio.... This 'queen' is out of control. Don't worry, Marie... Everything is going to be okay..." "Hey Peppi! I have good news! Noila won't hurt me anymore!!!" Peppi had a furious tone. "PUT HIM ON THE PHONE. NOW." Marie nervously handed Noila the phone. "Um... Hello?" "Listen you. You may be my favorite customer but I would be DAMNED if you lay a finger on her! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME!?!?" "Y-Yes, Peppi. I will make sure that she is safe and sound.." "Good. Now put Marie back on the phone." Noila handed the phone to Marie. "Make sure you stay safe, okay love?" Marie nodded "okay... See you soon.... Hopefully..." "See you soon, Marie." *click* the call ended. After a bit, they exchanged phone numbers. So Noila can help Marie along with her path.

Noila then decided to head home, and do his normal deeds around his house. The trees suddenly grew leaves. Green beautiful leaves. This was strange. The scary visuals and fog had disappeared, too. It seems an act of kindness had made all this possible. A green bird landed on Noila's shoulder. It barked. Yes, the bird barked, you did not read that incorrectly. The only location that has a name because Mindy really didn't give a darn about the other places was called the Barking Forest. The reason for the amount of fog was because of pure hatred. But since the green bird arrived, others came and populated the trees, occasionally barking every five seconds. The green bird then flew away as it realized the potential danger of landing on the shoulder of a lion. E.C.H.O. was then seen progressively being weirded out by the forests visibility. "UH.... NOILA.... DOES ANYTHING SEEM A BIT DIFFERENT TO YOU?" Noila scratched his head. Even he didn't know what was going on. "Not in the slightest. I am going home now." "WAIT, GOING HOME!? WHERE'S THE HUMAN!?" "They got away before I could capture them. So instead of hearing The queens complaints, I am just going to quit. Good luck finding her" "YOU CANT JUST QUIT, THE QUEEN WILL HAVE YOU DROWNED!" "It is a risk I am willing to take. Farewell, Mr. Bigshot." "FINE. I WILL TAKE CARE OF THIS MYSELF. SHE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO ESCAPE ME! HAR HAR!" He bolted off. Noila hurriedly contacted Marie. She was already near the place in the direction She was being told to go. Her phone rang "Oh, its Noila!" she answered the phone "Hi, Noila! I'm almost there, I think!" "Good, but listen to me, that robot you saw earlier, he is coming for you right now. But trust me and stay calm okay?" "o-okay... Should I hide somewhere?" "yes. Anywhere you can. As long as he does not find you.... I have to go. Good luck, okay?" *click* the call ended. Marie just kept walking until she finally reached the destination.
