--- Derek Morgans Point of View ---

One Week Ago

It was last week that Hotch had walked down those steps and told the team that Emily Prentiss was coming to visit for two weeks. I was happy but there was also something that I noticed about Hotch's face when he said that. Although he maintained his usual poker face something about him seemed better, happier, and he hadn't had that look about him since before Prentiss left.

"Where is she staying?" Jeniffer Jereau (or JJ as she preferred) asked.

"That hasn't been decided yet. It was a quick phone call." Hotch replied.

JJ and Baby Girl (or Penelope Garcia) where talking about Prentiss possibly staying at JJ's place, and Spencer Reid was talking to me about some dorky fact that I really didn't need to know. But my mind was on Prentiss. All the times that we worked together, laughed, joked, and had a good time. When Prentiss faked her death was the saddest time for me, I could not imagine life without her, but I was relieved she was coming back. Even if it was just a couple weeks.

Now don't get me wrong. I love Prentiss but she's always been a friend for me, and we have been there for each other when we needed to be. As friends.

Lost in thought I missed everything that the boss said, only catching only the name "Laura Evans".

Present Day

Okay, I get it now. "Laura Evans" was the new replacement. That tiny thing probably could not lift a frying pan. I give her a month or less to last at the BAU. The gory images, perverted criminals she'll be running the other way in no time.

The girl stood there awkwardly fidgeting with her wavy, brown hair. If I were to profile her (which I am not supposed to, due to an unspoken rule) I'd say she wears heels to make herself appear taller because she wants to make herself seem more powerful. That could be due to the fact that she was a younger sibling or she just likes attention.

Oh well the boss said to make her feel welcome.

"Hey, my name is Derek Morgan, welcome the BAU. This scrawny little dork here is Dr. Spencer Reid--"

"--Nice to meet you--" Reid said absently. Laura nodded.

"and this is Jeniffer Jereau--"

"--Please call me JJ -" Laura shook her hand.

"Baby girl here is Penelope Garcia," Garcia smiled at Laura and looked back at her computer. "This is David Rossi--"

"--Pleasure to meet you--" Rossi interrupted shaking Laura's hand.

"And finally," I continued, " This wonderful woman is Emily Prentiss, she worked at the BAU six years then moved to London last year."

"It's nice to meet you," Prentiss said putting out her hand.

"Same to you," Laura replied, shaking Prentiss's hand."It's really great to meet you all, and it's an honor to be working at the BAU." Laura said.

She was exactly like each of the last agents who tried to fill in Blake's shoes. I doubt she will though.

I was about to go sit down when I saw pretty boy literally drooling over the newbie from his desk.
