Chapter 12

So I took my bags and left, fuck. He really grew on me, I let him in, I trusted him. But I couldn't stay in a relationship like that. I did it for years before with an addict and I'll be damned if he put me through it again. I walked down the street to a bus stop I had noticed earlier. Great. About 45 minutes before the next bus. It was freezing. I picked through my bag, one jumper, his jumper. I must have thrown it in by mistake. If I wore it, I'd miss him. So I may aswell freeze to death. This night just keeps getting better. Cars past and drivers looked. Suddenly a car pulled up and signalled me to go closer.
'How much?'
'Excuse me?'
'How much for the night?'
'Fuck off you sick cunt'
So along with being cold and lonely now people thought I was a prostitute. Another car pulled up. A much nicer car. The man from the restraunt got out and began walking over.
'I must admit, you don't look as flattering as you did this evening.'
I flushed with embarrassment I could only imagine what I looked like. Tracksuits, make up ruined from crying and my hair was down but messy from the wind.
'Its hard to pull off that look all the time' I joked.
'Yes; well however you do still look stunning, now explain to me why your out here waiting on a bus, where could you possibly be going in such a hurry?'
'Back to Kilkenny, nothing for me here'
'Let me drive you?'
He looked sincere and right now anything was better than waiting for this bus in the cold night.
'Yeah I guess, but only if you really want to.'
'I wouldn't ask if I didn't want to, my dear'
He walked over to the car and opened the door. I followed and sat in the car. I probably smelt like hell. He turned the car and start driving for the city.
'Where are we going? You said you'd bring me home'
'And I will, right after we get you cleaned up and you tell me the story.'
