Chapter 4

The next day I was eating lunch when the power went out. The alarm I hadn't heard sense I was 4 years old blared.

The rebels were back.

I sat there in fear, thinking I was going to die.

Suddenly I heard a gunshot and then felt some thing warm and liquidy run down my leg. I was shot.

How were the rebels already in here! I haven't seen them or heard them yet!

Then everything went wild, but I didn't notice because of the amount of pain I was in.

I screamed loud as I could as I collapsed on to the floor. I couldn't move, I couldn't walk. I was paralyzed with fear and my leg was throbbing so badly. Something fell on my leg making it feel like someone was stabbing me over and over with tiny needled around the already terrible numbing pain.

Suddenly the lights turned back on. I was the only living person left in the room. Trapped under a table, how did I get under the table, I couldn't remember. My red dress was making me easy to see in the large room, even though only a little bit of it was sticking out, but I couldn't did it. My whole body felt numb by now.

Then a man grabbed my leg and dragged me out from under the table.

He had a gun.

And then he started smiling at me.

He pulled me across the room. I screamed but he muffled my cry with a piece of cloth. He dragged me out of the room and then kile came running toward me. He yelled for some soldiers and they came running as fast as they could through the crazy crowd.

In less than a minute I was in kiles arms being rushed to the hospital wing. But then another rebel dropped down and hit kile's legs and he collapsed, I was dropped off onto the floor.

My head hit something hard.

Then.

Suddenly.

I.

Was.

Falling.

In

A.

Deep.

Dark.

Pit.

Of.

Nothingness.

The last thing I heard was some one calling my name, a scream, and a gun shot.

How was that chapter? I know it was short, only 248 words (now 380) but all my chapters are short it Seems.
