Chapter 12

I still cannot believe it. Kile was back. We've grown closer sense he left for 9 super long days.

I've started sleeping with him too. But I can't tell my dad because he might get mad...

At midnight I usually walk slowly to his room through the tunnels that lead to the royal safe room.

But I needed to talk to Henri.

"Henri. I need to talk to you."

Erik, his translate told him what I said and then they followed me.

We walked into the kitchen, Henri's favorite place in the palace, and I said "Henri, I love you...." Henri gasped, looking startled. "Bu.... But."

I asked Erik to leave the kitchen. It was hard enough to say this with one person.

"Henri..." I needed to tell him I wanted to end the selection and I wasn't choosing him. But I couldn't. Why was this so difficult.

"Henri I... I...."

Then I couldn't talk. He was kissing me.

Henri leaned back as I started kissing him back. His hand tipped over a bowl of flour that was next to some dough getting it all over himself.

We kissed and kissed.

Then the door opened... It was Kile.

I jumped back and gasped.

Oh why now, why did he walk in right now.

"Ki... Kile? What are you doi..."

"NO EADLYN! WHAT ARE YOU DOING! WHY ARE YOU KISSING SOME GUY IN THE KITCHEN THAT DOESN'T EVEN SPEEK ENGLISH!!!"

"Kile..."

"Goodbye eadlyn."

"No Kile! Kile come back! Kile!"

He walked out of the kitchen.

How did telling Henri I was choosing Kile turn into kissing Henri.

And making Kile mad at me.

Kile probably is going to leave the selection now.

Henri looked upset.

I was upset.

Kile was mad.

Why does bad stuff always happen to me?

Why?

Kile why?

Why?

Why did this happen?

Why did I have to kiss Henri?
