"Son, it's like... four days since you've been here. Seriously, what have you done?" The messy hair, with dirt covered his whole tattooed body but I did not care. I could not see a need to care. He chuckled at my silence, "I tried for four days, everyday asking the same question but you would never tell me... I would not say I'll be able solve your problems but I can listen to your problems. That I ensure you, would definitely make you feel tons better, trust me son. All of us here knows each other's story." He tried to cave me in. Since I no longer cared, I told him everything that happened.

"Son, life is not just filled with sugar, you're right. Love, love can come in pain or happiness... But son, if it was all filled with pain, torture and you got through it, it means you are strong. You are just not moving on. I too, once was blinded by love. She was a beauty, but she betrayed me for another man and now, here I am in jail while the two of them are probably enjoying the ride of their lives... " He sighed before continuing, "Son, you're younger than me, don't let a woman or girl destroy the image of love for you. Because son, she's not worth your attention, your pity or even your tears. She was not your love son. Love, is more than a one-sided attention, it's about giving without asking for anything in return. Love comes with sacrifices, from both parties. And at the end of the day, if you say she loves you and that it is true love. Tell me, are you happy at the end of every single day? Because, your eyes lack the gleam of energy that all mischievous young chaps have." He nudged me in the elbow and I chuckled, I tried to open my mouth to speak but he held one hand up and continued, "At the end of the day, we humans are made to see things smile, I learnt myself that causing pain and hurt is never going to be the ultimate goal for finding love. Because I love making people smile, when they smile, it makes you feel like you're a part of life."

It felt like he was using a needle and thread to stitch up my poor cracked heart. Though my heart would never be entirely stitched, it was starting to heal.  However, we all know that after an injury, the wound might heal but there would be scars that would be there forever.

"Have you forgiven her?" Emma's voice travelled through the hollow wooden door.

I laughed bitterly, "Would you forgive and forget someone who had hurt you that bad?" Emma stayed silent.

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair, "I'm sorry, Emma. I didn't mean to lash out at you. But she hurt me really badly. It was like as if my whole world had crash down on me, it felt like the end of the world. I almost suicide because of her..."

Emma's soft and melodious voice that I fell in love with answered, "Well, life like what your prisoner buddy said is not made solely of sugar..." I chuckled at that and we fell silent before I started to talk about my life again...

2033, 19 February, Earth

That day, I felt like I still have lots of reasons to live my life and not to dawn it all on one girl. I am a Soard, I have duties to fulfill. That day, I found my spirits, I found my soul.

"Hey son, got a good night sleep? You seem to carry yourself lighter today if that makes any sense." My prisoner buddy chuckled.

I rolled my eyes in response, "All of the prisoners here are framed according to you right?" He furrowed his eyebrows before nodding stiffly. I just grinned. I have a plan to stay out of prison. Wait, I meant get out and stay out of prison.

I shrugged my shoulders and started to device the plan in my head. Suddenly, four loud bangs on the door. The door slid open and our food was given, I took that chance to unlock my handcuffs using a pin I found at the corner of the prison, a skill I learnt after my first capture. Then, I acted like the chain was still on me as I ate my food.

The last time they opened the door at night, I sprung up and took off my shoe for the guard to smell. He immediately fainted and I sniggered in response. After which I escaped and took the keys to unlocking every cell in this room and the handcuffs. When opening the main gate, it triggered an alarm which made them all scram after I shouted for them to move. My prisoner buddy hugged me tightly before we took off in different directions, I never saw him since.

2033, 25 September, Earth

This was yet another day where I met a new face, a new girl that I found interesting. I thought she could be my rebound. I was happy around her but it was not for long. She was pretty, sweet and nice but she could not fill the gap in my heart. Her smiles, they could neither stop nor speed up my heartbeat. Her laugh could neither make me wake up nor snuggle more into her. Maybe it was because I still miss her. It was like, I missed her touch even after her betrayal, that was how much I loved her. We have been dating for a month already, but I was not attracted. Since I felt nothing special, I think it is good for her that we break up before things get messy. I told her to meet me at the park near her apartment.

On my way there, I saw a couple hugging each other tightly in this cool weather. I wish I could have a girl in my arms that would make me on my toes all the times. I smiled politely at them and they smiled back. Yes, I have changed, not a lot but a little, bit by bit... Then, I saw her sitting alone on a bench with a guitar on her lap. I took a deep breath and walked towards her.

"Hey Joslyn." I greeted and she gestured me to sit beside her. I swallowed before continuing, "Joslyn, um... we've been dating for a month but I... I just want us to remain as friends."

She kept quiet for a while before showing a small smile, "It's hurts a little but I think I'll survive it. Bradley, how do you think this sounds?" She strummed her guitar and sung her own written song.

"That was amazing." I gushed a little on it.

She grinned, "Thanks, this was supposed to be our love song, but I guess this can become our friendship song instead. Don't you ever dare forget the lyrics. Oh and by the way, I would still like to train with you later... um... only if you don't mind..." She gave me a crooked smile.

I waved at her, " Sure, see you later."

"See you." She waved back and went along.
