Chapter 8

"The person I choose is........ Drew," I finally say after taking several intakes of breath.

The look on Luca's face....... I will never forget it. He had sadness, anger and frustration. But above all of that, he looked hurt. He looked like he had been used for sex.

"Luca, I am so sorry. But I don't want to get a divorce. And Drew is the more solid choice. I really, really love both of y'all and I would marry both of you if I could," that made Drew laugh but Lica still looked used.

"I am so, so sorry. Please forgive me. Please," I beg.

"I..... I..... I think I should go," Luca says.

"Ok, I understand but please find it in your heart to forgive me and stay my friend," I beg.

"It will take time but I'll eventually get over you," he smiles. It doesn't quite reach his eyes though.

The next month and a half went by in a blur. Luca went back to Lainey and proposed a day after I picked Drew. I took a pregnancy test. I freaked out. Then I went out for lunch. Nothing really important happened though.

Yah! So I'm at the drug store right now because the pregnancy tests I took were very confuzziling. One was positive and one was negative. So I either had a false positive or a false negative. I don't know which one I really want. I buy 18 different tests and 5 vitamin waters. Let's just say the guy that was working the register was flirting with me when I first walked in but the second I put those pregnancy tests on the payout thing, he shut up real quick.

What am I going to do? I can't raise a baby! I'm still paying off my shop and medical bills! Oh my gosh! Who's the father? It can't be Drew's because I haven't slept with him for a while. The last person I slept with was Luca. Luca! Oh my gosh! I need to talk to Luca!

Ok so I guess I won't talk to Luca yet because I just got kidnapped. Ya! That was fun. I wasn't kidnapped kidnapped, I was just playfully taken for a bachelorette party for Lainey.

"Wine anyone," one of Lainey's slut friends ask.

"Yes," everyone choruses except for me.

"No thank you," I say.

"Why not? It's a bachelorette party! Everyone drinks at a bachelorette party! Are you pregnant or something," Lainey asks jokingly.

"Well......." I trail off, biting my lip.

"OMG," Lainey squeals," I'm sooooo happy for you and Drew. Haven't y'all been trying?"

"Not really, but I'm happy as well," I think I'm happy. I don't know for sure yet.

"Ok that's so cool but now back to me," that's Lainey for you. Always having to be in the spotlight.

Luca is standing in front of me. It's raining outside. We're waiting for a cab for me as Drew isn't in town right now. I feel as if it is best to tell him now.

"Is it bad," Luca says before I can say anything," that I really want to kiss you right now?"

"No," I say breathlessly," because I am very tempted to kiss you, as well."

"Then what's holding you back," he asks. I smash my lips onto his and find that they're slippery due to the heavy rain surrounding us. I've always wanted to kiss someone passionately in the rain. I guess now I can say that I have. Even though I am technically cheating on my husband, again, it's very romantic. It's romantic knowing that I'm kissing the father of my, our?, unborn baby.

He pulls back abruptly.

"We can't do this anymore Blaire," he tries to say with no emotion, but his voice cracks.

"I know Luca," I say back calmly.

"I love you Blaire. You're my best friend, but I gave a piece of myself to Lainey when I proposed to her," he explains.

"I understand Luca, that's why I'm letting you go. Don't worry about me. I'll always have a piece of you as well."

"What are you saying Blaire," he asks confused.

I don't say anything. Instead, I put my hand on my lower abdomen, look down at it, and then look back up at him from underneath my eyelashes.

"Merde! Putain! You're pregnant," he states. I can tell he's confused now on what to do because he cussed in his normal language.

"Don't worry about me. I'm smart, I'll figure what to do. Just go get married to Lainey tomorrow."

"No! I'm going to leave her. I got you pregnant Blaire! I'm not going to let that baby grow up with out a dad!"

"I grew up with out a dad! I turned out just fine," I start raising my voice, but I lower it now," plus you can't leave Lainey. Don't tell her I told you this, but she's also pregnant. She told us just tonight at her bachelorette party," that's a lie, but he doesn't need to know that. It'll help him leave me and my unborn baby behind.

"Ok if this is what you want, then I'll do it. I'll do it for you Blaire."

"This is what I want," I tell him sincerely. "Plus," I add," I don't want you to be with me just because you got me pregnant. I already figured out what to do as well. I'll tell my mom and Drew the truth, and then tell everyone that you're the cool uncle and drew can be this baby's dad. I know it's going to be hard for you, but this is the best for the baby. Trust me, this is going give extremely hard for both of us."

"Fine," he states, his jaw clenched, his voice sharp and cold. "If that is what you want, then I'll deal with it Blaire. I will deal with it for you."

"Thank you," I say getting into the cab that just pulled up.

"But I want you to know that I wouldn't be with you just because I got you pregnant. I would be with you because I love you Blaire. And I know you love me as well," he states before the cab pulls away.

I'm going to try and update sooner but it's hard, you know. I really am trying as hard as I can but STAAR is right around the corner as well as UIL and my Algebra 1 EOC test. And between you and me, my mom might have breast cancer so I'm really stressed. Oh! And my boyfriend and i are having problems and I'm trying to figure out how, when, or if I should break up with him.
