"Why does he have to send us abroad when Dara's wedding is just in 3 days' time?" Ayaka look up from her sketchbook and look at the furious Chanyeol ranting how his President just suddenly decided to send his group abroad for their world tour.
"I can't believe uncle Hyun will just suddenly announce our tour. I am not yet prepared. How can I prepare in such a short notice?!" He asked dumping his entire body at the couch inside Ayaka's office.
Ayaka put down her pencil and walk over to her over-stressed friend. "Channie..."
"I can't Ayaka. I can't just leave Dara when she needed me the most. I need to rescue her from that marriage. I can't let Dara marry that guy. I can't." Chanyeol's shoulder slumps as he let out a cry muffled in his palms.
Ayaka wrapped her arm around Chanyeol and pull the latter unto her. She felt a pang of guilt settled in her stomach knowing that she's part of the reason why Chanyeol is miserable.
"I don't want her to get married. I don't want to completely lose her. I can't."
If only she doesn't have to hurt him, she would. But Chanyeol's feeling is a must to be sacrifice in her plan. She doesn't really want to hurt Chanyeol, but it can't be avoided. Chanyeol is destined to get hurt for the promise that she's keeping.
She continue to hold Chanyeol in her arms until the latter fell asleep from exhaustion. "I'm sorry Channie. If only I could do something to get the pain away from you, I will. I'm sorry." She kiss the man's forehead while gently caressing his hair.
She caresses Chanyeol's tired face. She feels sorry that he has to get through all this pain. She never plans to hurt Chaneyol's feelings in the first place, but it can't be avoided. Chanyeol is the third person in the picture. If only Chanyeol did move on from Dara, none of this pain would hurt him. In the game of love, someone's feelings must be sacrifice for someone's happiness and unfortunately, it's Chanyeol's feelings that has to be sacrifice. And what makes it worst is that she's the one to do it to him. She has to separate him from Dara and to his feelings.
A pang of guilt hit her again when she remember that Chanyeol's feelings are not the only one to be sacrifice in this game. Tao's feelings too are meant to be sacrifice and she'll be the one who will cause it to him directly. And that makes her feel worse than ever. Breaking the heart of the person you love the most is the most tragic thing in the world of love.
People say that love is the most wonderful feeling of all. But none of them realize that love can also be the sole reason of someone's down fall and misery. If only they were all born in a simple life, maybe, just maybe love won't be this cruel and painful. If only people realize to accept and not to be selfish, life would be so easy. But people by nature are selfish. They always wanted to get what they want. Life is unfair. Love is cruel.
She peck Chanyeol's forehead before heading out of her office and struts towards her leisure room. She took a cup of espresso before staring outside the building, thinking of the things she had been doing for the past days.
About Chanyeol's group sudden world tour, she was the one behind all of it. She persuaded Dara's father that it is better to send Chanyeol away from Seoul and go on tours so he won't have any reason to plan on how to stop Dara's wedding. And Dara's father agrees because EXO are really popular outside of the country.
