The next morning Dante came into the kitchen and stopped when he saw both Garroth and Laurence at the table just staring away from each other both arms crossed and looking strangely pissed, "Uh... Hey guys? Everything alright? You both look a little, what's the word... Tense." He headed over to the fridge and opened the door to find something for breakfast.

Laurence huffed softly before looking over at Dante, "Whatever are you talking about? Everything is fine!" He glanced over and glared at Garroth, "Just... Peachy!"

Garroth knew this would happen, the looks and the whole fact that Laurence was now pissed off at him for this. A simple kiss ruining years of friendship and brotherhood, "Yeah... just fine, Dante... like I said last night..." He muttered before laying his head down on the table. He just wanted to head back to his room and pretend that he no longer existed... maybe then Laurence would just go back and forget all of this had happened.

"Aaaaalright then, I didn't need to know what's going on between you two anyways." Dante shrugged a bit and spoke between bites of his zagel, "Just so you both know I also live here and am a willing listener if you have any problems..." He smiled before waving at them and heading to the living room to watch some of the series that he was binge watching.

"We don't need any help! There is nothi---" Laurence sighed heavily when he noticed he was talking to no one. Taking a deep breath he glanced over at Garroth who still hadn't moved, "Gar---" 'What can I possibly say to make this better? Even if I do say something now, doesn't it sound insincere?' Laurence thought.

Garroth heard Laurence say his name and pulled his head up to look at him, "What do you want....?" His voice sounded rough and his body was tense.

Laurence jumped a bit as he was pulled from his thoughts and he made eye contact with the other before he tried to find his words, "We...well, uh... I mean..." He couldn't figure out what to say.

Garroth shook his head and got up from his seat, taking a step towards Laurence who without thinking flinched at the movement, "Relax... I'm not going to force you into any undesirable situations..." He sighed before shaking his head a bit and moved around him, he walked towards the cupboard to grab himself a small glass.

"Huh? I know!" Laurence said but inside he cursed himself for flinching like that, he wasn't scared of Garroth! Right? Right! He was just a little startled at what had happened between them. It's not like he got kissed by his best friend every day. Though it was a running joke between their group that their 'Bromance' would head to something more serious, which he would always laugh at... but now was really just worried.

"Mhm, sure..." Garroth grumbled slightly and flipped the faucet on and filled his glass, he took a small sip before leaning against the counter, "I know it probably won't but I wish our friendship could just go back to normal..." His voice was solemn which made Laurence shudder at the tone, "Though, if it ever did it would be really hard..."

Laurence smiled weakly and tilted his head to the side, "What do you mean, we can still be friends, Garroth! Though I don't remember ever saying we weren't friends anymore... Anyways, just because we had a small hiccup, doesn't mean that everything is totally ruined!"

Garroth stopped and snorted at this, "A hiccup? That was a hiccup to you?" He took another sip of his water, "I have feelings for you and kissed you because of them, Laurence... I'm not proud of it because of the situation we had been in but I still did that."

Laurence panicked when Garroth said it out loud, "Shut up! Don't say it so loudly... I don't want Dante to hear that! If he does he'll come in and try to 'Help' or get others messed up in this..." He looked towards Dante's direction to make sure he didn't hear.

Garroth brought his hand up to rub his face, "Of course, we'll pretend this never happened in the eyes of the public. I still think we need to talk about it though, we need to figure out what to d---"

"NO! No we don't!" Laurence stood up and snapped at him, "Garroth, I don't like you like that! We are best friends," He moved over to him and poked his chest, "And that's all that we'll ever be!" His cheeks bright red and eyes shining with anger from Garroth's attempts to get him to talk more about it.

Garroth blinked at the suddenness of Laurence's anger, though all he could really think of was how beautiful Laurence was when he was this close and pissed off. It gave him an almost warrior type feel. He couldn't help but lick his lips lightly and tried to hold back though the itch to drag him close again like last night was making it hard for him, "Laurence... please step back..." He muttered softly. He was enjoying the closeness but really didn't want to regret anything more.

Laurence frowned and glared more at him, "And what if I don't? What will you do about it...." His mind was racing, mostly with thoughts of punching Garroth or just leaving the house all together and going over to Brendan's or Aaron's place... or possibly even Zane's, anything would be better than staying here any moment longer while his relationship with Garroth was shaky like this.

Garroth's cheeks flushed more and he turned his face a bit, he tried to keep his face away from Laurence's, "You are a bit too close! Please just back up more." He didn't need the other to freak out more than he already was because of him.

Laurence noticed Garroth's face and turned more red himself and finally took a step back, he looked down, "... We'll talk about this later...." I'm going to go out." He quickly turned and headed to his bedroom to get changed, he was going to talk to Aph about this...
