15 - Speechless (Part 1)

"I-I don't know what to say. I'm speechless," I say surprised. I may say that I don't like surprises but I sure do like this one.

"Hello Ms. Riley Matthews. Do you like my surprise?" Lucas ask me holding his hand out for me to hold. I gabbed his hand. I nod.

"It's absolutely beautiful. I don't know what to say," I exclaim covering my mouth.

"You don't have to say anything," he says while walking.

"How'd you know?"

"Well remember when you and I fell asleep after we got ice cream?" He asks me.

"Yea," I say trailing off.

"Well you were sleep talking and you woke me up with your crazy cuddling..." He starts. I hide my face in his neck. I can't believe I do that in my sleep and he never told me. "You kept on saying Paris, Paris. And uh I thought that's your favorite place sooooo.....I recreated it. I hope you like it," he says holding his hand out showing me what he did. My mouth dropped. My heart beating faster by the minute. How'd he know? I've always wanted to have candle lit dinner in Paris but we all know that's not going to happen.

"I-I love it. I've always wanted to have a special dinner by the Eiffel Tower, even though it's weird," I say.

" Its not weird. I could imagine that. In fact, bien peut-être un jour, vous et moi pouvons aller ensemble à Paris," he says. I furrow my eyebrows.

"Huh?" He laughs at me.

"Maybe one day you and I will go to Paris together," he translates.

"Ohh..," I pause. "I'd like that very much," I smile. He smiles back.

"Well ready for a night of famous French food?"

"Are you sure it's just that?" I wonder.

"No," he shakes his head laughing. "There's more than just that. You'll just have to wait," he explains.

"What are we waiting for then?!? Let's go eat some food!!" I say eagerly. Everyone laughs.

"Hey! What about me?!?" Lucas asks me.

"And...spend some time with my huckleberry," I say smiling.

"Hey?!? Only I call him that." Maya says.

"Yea, yea. But Lucas I can't believe you did all this for me,"

"Yep it took a lot of work," he says. He purses his lip into a thin line.

"Hey we helped," Zay says. We all laugh.

"I can't believe you did this for me. Well you guys did this for us." I say hugging him.

"I have to say it did take a lot of convincing,"

"Yea well we do appreciate this so so so much, thank you," Amy says.

"Yeah. Ok well where's the food?!?" I ask looking around.

"Come on let's go," he says. They all laugh.

"Shut up guys you know I'm obsessed with food," I claim.

"Hmmmm....that's it?" Lucas asks.

"And my little cuddle bunny," I say squishing his cheeks.

"Riley stop I'm not a kid," he says rolling his eyes.

"But you're so cute," I reply.

"I know that already," he smiles.

"Ugh you guys are like a married couple it makes me wanna barf," Amy says. She walks past us and sits down. We all laugh and follow her.

"Ready for my other surprise?" Lucas asks.

"Yep," I say smiling widely.

"Let's go then," he says. I get off his lap and I follow him. From faraway I see this yellowish-orangish color.

"Close your eyes Riley," Lucas tells me.

"Do I have t-"

"Do you trust me?" He interrupts me.

"Of cours-"

"Then close your eyes please," he interrupts me again. I did as he told me.

"Follow the sound of my voice," he says. I slowly nod. He places a hand on my waist and unites my hand with his.
He starts to whisper in my ear.

"Did you know that you're beautiful?"

"No"

"Well you are. And I'm the luckiest person on earth to have a hot girlfriend like you. And funny and intelligent but mostly mysterious. You have a lot to tell me Matthews," he whispers. Chills run down my back. Electricity shoots through me by his touch. My knees start go weak. This boy is making go insane!

"And you can tell me more about yourself here," he whispers in my ear one more time.
