With the sound of tearing flesh, Sarah's cocoon opened. She rubbed her eyes, still tired from playing games on her tablet the night before. She stretched reaching for the light switch. Despite the fact she could see fine without the lights, Sarah found comfort in the glow.

You never told me you were afraid of the dark

"I'm not." Sarah replied. "I just like the lights on." She knelt down to pet Tyrosine. He looked up at her and yawned. Just yesterday Sarah stopped by to drop off some treats for his little pack, and he followed her back. He paused, as if he heard something, and pointed at the door. Sarah looked towards it. Cautiously, she walked towards it, and slid the door open. On the other side, just about to rap on the door, stood James. He looked awkwardly at Sarah, still dressed in her PJ's. "Um, hi boss. What's up?"

"Sarah, I," James paused.

"Boss, if you're trying to ask her out, you're going about it all wrong." Janet said. She was wearing her uniform, though it was mostly unzipped. She was obviously on her way to the showers, though the way her hair was messed up it was not obvious if she had been in her room, or someone else's. "First, you've got to get down on one knee, then,"

"Janet, if I ever want to start dating, you are the first person I'll talk to." James replied sarcastically. "As I was saying, I have a job for you." He cast a glance at Janet. "A job I don't want a certain head of security to know about." Janet made a motion across her lips. "It regards a certain android."

"KT?"

"You've met."

"Yeah, when Lei, Cleo, and I were investigating the hot water, and when she strip-searched me in an elevator."

"That second one doesn't sound that bad."

"Hush harlot." James said casually. Janet giggled and walked towards the showers. "So, what do you say?"

"KT is a lot stronger than I am."

"Yes, but she is still a droid, which is why," James took a small device from his pocket. It was about 10 cm long and shaped like a teardrop, save that the tail was rounded. It resembled a television remote control, save that there was one large button and a touch pad. "This is a LEASH, Law Enforcement Android Subduing Handheld. Just get close and hit the button, the droid will go into Safe mode. It won't do anything except follow the person with the LEASH. If you press the button and hold it down afterwards it will shut down. Considering how heavy she'll be, I don't recommend that."

"Ok, I'll try to find her. It's a big ship though."

"Good. I'd send someone with you, but I want this done quietly. I'm telling Carlos that I'm sending you on a suicide mission into the most dangerous parts of the organism." He looked her in the eye. "Stay safe."

"You have a plan?"

Sarah dried her hair with a towel. She had quickly showered and dressed before returning to her room. She swiped her tablet, examining a map of the ship. "Not really." She tapped on part of the ship. Making a few gestures, the image changed, representing the new arena/gallery. She paused. "Hey Adam, the Observatory, the place we fought that monster, that had a lot of Adam cells, right? Can you ask them what's going on there?"

Plug in.

Sarah took the boot disk and plugged it into her tablet. She thought, and immediately felt a response. Automatically, the image changed. The white hologram of the ship was beset with a red hologram. The spaces were similar, but they lacked detail. Walls could have been there, or they could have been broken, a reddish fog covered them. The gallery, as well as a few other places, were well defined. Sarah blinked, and the map was normal, and then it was not.
