A Day Out of the Blue

Chapter 2

Chapter 2:

Katies Pov:  Right now it is 5 a.m. early right? Tell me about it. While Felicity is showering I'm quietly humming along to 'The A Team' by Ed Sheeran which is playing off of Felicity's iHome and Packing everything up besides the bathroom stuff obviously sense i still have to shower and get ready.

It's now 6:25 a.m. we have to leave Felicity's apartment in 5 minutes, I am trying to haul all of our luggage down 6 flights of stairs and did I ever mention Felicity's apartment building was six stories and she just so happened to be on the damn six floor! Well you may be thinking take the Elevator stupid, yeah, well it's currently not working. Pretty shitty if you ask me, meanwhile Felicity's doing her make up for fucks sake, instead of helping me like she should! Whatever.

After I'm finished putting all our luggage in Felicity's car I go back up to see if she's finished.

"Hey you ready?" I ask 

"Yup!" 

"Good cause" I start to say looking at my phone to see the time "oh fuck, we need to go now!"

As soon as we arrive at the airport we quickly go to print our boarding passes off and drop off our luggage, then make our way to security.

"I sure hope this line moves fast" felicity murmurs 

"Me too" i say but by look of it its moving pretty fast, so we should be through in no time! About 10 minutes later when we get up there they check our boarding pass and I.D. we then hurry and put our bags, purses, and shoes in the tub they provide and put it on the conveyor belt, thankfully they let us go through the metal detector, instead of the X-ray machine or whatever the hell its called. As soon as we put our shoes back on thee intercom announces that a our gate is boarding, we quickly grab our things.

"Do we walk fast or run?" I turn to felicity and ask since we had a little bit further to still go until we reached our gate. 

"Run, you dimwit!"

"Okay, geez"

As soon as the words left my mouth we were booking it down to our gate, while trying not to run into anyone in our way and also mumbling 'sorrys' to everyone we had accidently pushed. As soon as we approach our gate they are calling numbers A30-60. We quickly hop in line, Making it just in time we hand the lady our boarding passes and make our way on to the plane. We end up finding seats about in the middle section of the plane, Unfortunately felicity took the middle seat much to my dismay since I tend to feel Claustrophobic siting closer to the window. Sighing I put my headphones on, lean my head against the window, turn on my One Direction playist and fall asleep!

I was abruptly awoken by the flight attendant over the intercom telling us we were about to land, and to plase turn off all electronics. I glance down at my phone to check the time which reads 1:30 p.m., I then take out my head phones, wrap them up and stick them back in my bag.

As we get closer to landing i turn away from the window, I've always hated landing more than taking off. Soon enough though we've landed and people are starting to get off. 

"Lets go" I say nudging felicity who seemed to be day dreaming.

We hastily made our way off the cramped plane and over to the luggage carriage. As soon as we got ours, which wasn't to hard, we made our way outside to hail down a taxi.

"Can I get our first taxi!!" Felicity asks me

"Eh, sure"

5 minutes later we finally got a taxi, we then tell the driver to head to Soho grand hotel.... Roughly 15 minutes later we arrived at the hotel and let me just say holy shit!

"Holy shit Katie!" Felicity said voicing my thoughts 

"I know right, come on let's go check in"

"Okay, let me pay for the taxi and you can pay for the next one, while I'm doing that can you get our stuff out?"

"Deal, and yeah I can" I say getting out of the car and making my way to the trunk and taking our suitcases out.

"Alright lets go" felicity said 

After paying for our room, we got in the elevator and rode up to the 15th floor. Once we found our room, we put the key card in the keycard lock (A/N: idk if that's what there really called, but I looked it up and that's what it said) and walked in my mouth dropped open.  It had two Queen size beds, A small living room type area with a couch and TV. The bast part is the bathroom though; it has a really nice jacuzzi tub.

"This is AWESOME!" Felicity yells doing a 360 degree spin around the room.

"You bet, come on let's do a little sightseeing today then maybe hit grays papaya?" 

(A/N: for you who don't know grays papaya is like a super good place to go and get hot dogs at, so if your ever in NY you should defiantly go there!!!) 

"Sounds great and when we get back just know I'm taking a nice bath in the Jacuzzi tub" she replied smirking.

"Yeah, okay whatever you say" I say knowing very well she will defiantly win the battle over who gets to use it first. Maybe.
