Heather's POV:

It's been 5 days since my dad passed away.

Trust me, it's been really hard.

It would've been much harder if Ethan wasn't there. In fact, if Ethan hadn't come to my house, I probably wouldn't even have lived to experience the struggle of not having my dad with me.

I'm actually pretty glad that Ethan was there. Even though these next couple of years are going to be hard, I'm glad I can be here to go through these trials. I believe they are just making me stronger.

Losing Weston was really hard, I've gotta say. But I've grown past it, and I'm stronger. Now I've lost my dad. It's going to be even worse than losing Weston, and I know this because it reminds me that I also lost Weston. It makes me feel as if anyone I get close to will be taken away, and that scares me. It may not be true, but there is still that feeling. Well,

Everything happens for a reason.

For some reason, I've had to push past major heartbreak not once, but twice. Maybe Ethan is here to support me with that for a reason. Maybe Ethan crashed into me for a reason.

Wait.

It's not, "maybe" anymore.

Ethan is in my life for a reason, and I can't wait to see what that reason is. Whether it's more heartbreak or not, it's supposed to happen.

Well, today is Tuesday. Tuesday, March 15th. We are having an assembly and there are some other schools and their seniors coming to compete in this thing the Leadership Seniors came up with, which is not me. Ethan's school is coming to our school, and we are supposed to meet with the other 2 schools and get into your own group of 4.

You can likely see the game plan here.

Once it was time to meet up and get ready to go to the assembly, I got really excited. I never get to see Ethan during the week days, so this is legendary.

Of course, right when we all walked into the gym, I saw Ethan and his class sitting in one section of the bleachers. It was pretty sad that we had to sit with our classes and not the others. Oh well, I'll live.

Our class president Genivieve went up and introduced all of the schools and talked about what we were doing. The second she said "disperse" I dashed over to Ethan like a madman.

He stood up in an instant as well. We ran over to each other as if we were in one of those couple movies. Before colliding with him, I jumped forward. He somehow knew I was going to jump and caught me just perfectly. I was pretty surprised we didn't fall over together.

I opened my eyes seeing that a ton of kids hadn't even moved yet and were staring at us. As a matter of fact, we were the only 2 that got up besides like 5 other people. Our little scene caught the attention of too many people for my liking.

Whatever, I'm just happy I get to be with Ethan.

Out of nowhere, I felt a tap on my shoulder to see Jaycee standing next to this tall guy with blonde hair. Ethan set me down and started doing some weird handshake with this kid.

"Ah, so this is Heather?" He chuckled. His voice was very deep, almost deeper than Ethan's.

"Yeah, man!" Ethan said while finishing their handshake.

"Nice! Well hey Heather my name's Logan and this is my gorgeous girlfriend Jaycee!" He started to show Jaycee off as if she were a shiny souvenir.

Jaycee giggled and turned back to him. "She knows who I am, dipwad! She's my best friend!"

"Wait," Logan started. "My best friend and your best friend are dating just like we are Ethan!"

"I see a lot of double dates in the future," Ethan chuckled whilst nudging my side.

"Just maybe!" I laughed.

It's unfortunate that we had to get partners from different schools so the 4 of us couldn't be together, but at least I got to be with Ethan and those 2 lovebirds got to be together as well.

We ended up being in a group with 2 boys named Taron and Jesse. They were pretty much best friends from different schools, as well as Ethan and I were, except Ethan and I have something else going on they don't.

Taron and Jesse were actually pretty chill, but I kind of just wanted it to be Ethan and I. Oh well, the games we played weren't too bad and we just kind of ignored them the entire time.

Overall, I actually had fun doing something school wise. And I learned Jaycee is dating my boyfriend's best friend, which is way cool if you ask me.
