"Genari."
I groaned in annoyance when my annoying guardian called my name below me.
I had isolated myself in a tree that I thought had cloaked me from sight fairly well.
But of course, Amari had to find me.
"What?"
"The Hokage has been wondering where his apprentice has gone. I'm sure you are well aware that the first of the chunin exams have been completed?"
"I'm well aware, and I don't care. Tell the old man that I'm off on a mission."
"Don't get cocky with me, Genari. Just because you are a Jonin at such at fourteen doesn't give you the right to be rude and self absorbed."
"I just don't care at all for these stupid exams."
"Please come down." She asked again, softening her tone as if she were speaking to a child.
"These stupid exams shouldn't define how brilliant of a ninja one is. Its like changing yourself for the benefit of society."
"That can be a good thing!"
I snapped open my eyes, looking down and shooting her a death glare.
Not that she could see, though. I wore a black veil over my eyes to hide the power that lied beneath them.
And then there was Amari, who's annoying crystal-like eyes could read an entire person just by a single look.
In fact, she could even go as far as to read one's mind.
"A surprising number of genin have passed the first of the chunin exams."
"I don't care." I said.
"They all look very promising. What an exciting group of genin we have this time around."
"Amari, don't you have better things to do?"
"Don't make me use force to get you down here." She said, dodging my question.
I scoffed. "Oh, please. You don't intimidate me."
"Don't make me bring Kakashi into this." She warned, causing my entire body to tense.
"Why do you have to pull that card?!" I snapped, swinging my legs over so they were now dangling off the branch.
"Because I know how much he intimidates you."
"Your weird boyfriend doesn't intimidate me! He just freaks me out by his creepiness!" I shot back.
Amari wiggled her eyebrows at me, a smile of victory plastered on her face.
I dropped to the ground, sending out a huge vibration of impact on purpose.
"You are such a child." She said.
"I hate you." I mumbled under my breath.
She held out her arm for me to link mine through, that stupid grin still on her face as she continued to stare at me.
I rolled my eyes, linking my arm through hers as I allowed her to lead me to the next round of the stupid chunin exams.

This story won't just mainly focus on Genari and Neji. There are many other characters I am involving in here and want them to be part of this journey, since, after all, there are so many amazing characters in Naruto.
Enjoy.
