I was laid down upon a couch the Hokage had placed in his office just for me, a cold wash cloth placed over my forehead.

The bad thing about myself was that my body temperature rose abruptly at unknown times every single day.

The old man had given up trying to force me to take medicine to keep my temperature down. So every time I felt light headed, I was supposed to go to old man's office and relax with a cold washcloth over my head.

"Why can't I just take an ice bath?"

"Shh, child. I'm busy watching the exam." Old man said.

I sat up, keeping my eyes shut so the other jonin in the room wouldn't meet my gaze.

"What do you think you are doing, Genari?" One of the Jonin asked.

"Chill. I'm just going to take an ice bath." I snapped.

"Need some help?"

"Shut up." I said before leaving the room.

Once outside, I covered the top half of my face with the sealing veil, before walking off down the hall.

I wrapped a towel around my body, running my fingers through my wet hair.

I sighed, my body still numb from the ice bath. Hey, at least my temperature was now down.

I stood against the sink, opening my eyes to see my reflection in the mirror before me.

The girl had a huge and nasty scar that stretched from her chin, through her lips, and trailing up so it sliced right through her left eye until it stopped just below her eyebrow.

And then there was her left eye, as white and pure as snow.

Some thought I was blind in that eye; that I couldn't see. But if you looked just close enough, you could see the faint glimmer of red.

The woman wore an unamused expression, as the mirror rattled before her just at the harshness of her gaze.

The second her eyes narrowed, the mirror shattered into dozen little pieces.

Right on cue, Amari slammed open the bathroom door, her eyes widened in shock.

"What the hell?!" I snapped, shooting her a death glare.

If only the power of destruction through my eyes worked on her.

"Anko needs you." She said.

I reached over to the veil, placing it over my eyes.

"Why? Did someone die?" I said sarcastically. Of course someone died. Someone always dies.

"No. I mean, yes. But this matter at hand is bigger."

"Did you tell the old man?"

"No."

I frowned. "And why not?"

"We can't involve him until we know for sure." She said, walking in and shutting the door.

"So why are you telling me this?" I asked as she gathered my clothes.

She shoved them into my arms, her expression serious.

"Orochimaru." Her voice lowered to a whisper.

That was all I needed.

Anko had already plunged into the Forest of Death by the time I arrived at the gates.
