Chapter 5

I was in my room, thinking on what Milo told me. I couldn't believe that all this is happening. I didn't like to see him sad. I was really worried for him.

He was the only person, I feel safe with. I went outside again. The wind was blowing in my face. I then saw someone infront of me.

It wasn't Milo. It was Emma. "Hello, Melanie" She said smiling. "Um... hi Emma. What do you need?" I asked. "Well, I heard what you and Milo were talking about casually... and I heard that he said he 'loves' you" She said.

She put quotations in the word love. "Um... what are you trying to tell me?" I asked. She smiled. "That he doesn't love you, sweetie" She said.

I looked at her. "Why would you say that?" I said. "Well, because he demonstrated it to me" She said. "What? How?" I was really worrying.

"Well, because you see... we... how do I tell you this?... oh yea. We... kissed" She said smiling. I

I felt broke but I know that she is lying. I know that Milo wouldn't do that because I trust him and I know that he didn't lie to me saying that he loves me.

"Yea, sure. I know he wouldn't do that..." I said. She laughed. "Mmmm. why don't you ask him? Im sure he won't deny it. He is really honest" She said.

She then disappeared. I just doubt what she is saying. I went up to my room and layed down in my bed.

Then, someone appeared infront of me again. This time, it was Milo. "Melanie. I missed you" he hugged me.

I just pulled away. "Milo, I want to ask you a question" I asked. "Yea?" He asked. "Do you really love me?" I asked. "Of course. Why you asking?" He said.

"Well, Emma told me that... you didn't love me and that... you kissed" I said. He look down and he seemed nervous. "Well... that is true. I am not gonna lie to you..." He looked down.

I felt broken. I couldn't believe what he just said. "How could you? I f you don't want to lie to me, then why did you say you loved me? If it isn't even true?!" I turned around crying.

"Melanie.." He grabbed my arm and I interrupted him by slapping him. "Just leave me alone. I don't want to know anymore. Leave me alone" I said and ran off.

I shut myself in the restroom crying a lot. He completely ruined my life.
