Silver's POV
I was sitting on the couch reading a comic book and listening to music on my headphones, when Shadow walked in. He threw his keys down. He looked frustrated. I removed my headphones.
"What's up?" I asked. He just walked by loosening his tie. He just groaned. "Okay... Hey Shadow one of mine friends is having a party his house. And I was wondering if you'd like to g-"
"Not now Silver..." He said before sitting down on the couch.
"Well, then why don't you tell me how your day went-"
"It went great okay?!" He shouted before placing a hand up to his head. I lowered my ears and picked my stuff up. "Silver listen I-"
"No, I'll just leave you alone. I'll be in my room if you need anything." I said before going up stairs.
Shadow's POV
I sighed and put my elbows to my knees, and putting hands on my head, running them through my quills. I got up and and sighed. I dragged my feet to the stairs.
Silver's POV
I hugged my pillow to my chest as I sat with my legs crossed on my bed. My muzzle was covered by the pillow and my tears were soaked into my pillow. I heard a knocked on the door.
"Silver can I come in?" He asked. I took a deep breath and let it out. Them I took another deep breath.
"Go away Shadow." I said, trying to not make it obvious that I was crying. "Please..." I whispered. I heard his footsteps fading.
He had never been mad at me. He was always close to me. This hurt me, a lot. I sighed and let my back fall on the bed. I curled amongst the pillow. I quickly fell asleep.
Shadow's POV
I threw my pen on the desk I sat in front of. I pushed my chair away from the desk, and my chair rolled to another desk behind me. I turned on the desk light and took another pen and wrote something down on a piece of paper. Above the desk sat a bookshelf.
I took out a book and looked inside of it. I sighed and put the book down, I crumbled the paper and threw it into the already full trash can. It just fell to the floor. I rolled my chair to a third desk by the window. I opened a drawer and took out some thin golden colored paper. I looked at the alarm clock that was on the desk. 12:54am.
I laid back on the chair and sighed putting my hands to my face. I looked at a picture frame of Silver on the desk. I smiled, then sighed remembering the fight this afternoon.
I put it down and got up of the chair. I went over to his room. I opened the door slowly, he was already asleep, curled with the pillow. I smiled and walked over to the edge of the bed. I sat down and petted his quills. I gained a purr from him.
"Sh-Shadow?" I heard him groan. He started to uncurl. He looked at me with tired eyes. "Why aren't you asleep?" He asked stretching, but got into a comfortable position in order to stare at me.
"I was just...wanting to apologize for earlier." I told him blushing. The room was pitch black, hopefully he didn't notice. "I was tired and frustrated."
I heard him moving. "Well, I'm sorry too. I pushed you a bit." He said. It all became silent. "Wow, it's already 1:36am." He said.
"Yeah, you better get some sleep for school tomorrow." I told him. I kissed his forehead before heading to the doorway.
Silver's POV
I saw Shadow's figure at the doorway. He held the doorknob. "Good night." He said. I hesitated, but opened my mouth before he closed the door.
"Wait Shadow!" I said sitting up. He stopped.
"Yes?" He asked looking to side.
"Can you sleep with me till I fall asleep?" I asked him blushing a bit. He smiled.
"Sure." He said and closed the door behind him before walking to my bed and getting on it. I hugged him once he laid his sleek body on the bed. I wrapped my arms around him and cuddled to his soft chest fur. It was warm and pleasant smelling too. He wrapped his arms around me too. I smiled.
。。。。。。。。。
。。。。。。。。。。。。。。I awoke when the sun hit my face. The bed for some reason felt bigger. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, then yawned. I heard a knock on my door.
"Silver?"
"Who is it?" I asked totally surprised.
"It's me Shadow. Better hurry if you don't want to be late for work." I goofed off again. "Silver."
"Who is it?!" I asked unaware of who had knocked.
"It's still me. I don't mean to wake you up, but please hurry for work."
"Hurry for what?" I asked blinking.
"Work."
"Fork? Mmm..." I looked up at my alarm clock. It was already 7:26am. I shot out of bed. "Work!" I ran downstairs greeted by Shadow.
"Here." He said pushing a plate of cereal to me. I gobbled it up, but started chocking. Shadow shook his head. He patted my back and lifted my head. "Breathe through your nose." He said. Soon enough, I stopped coughing. I got dressed and ran to the front lawn. I sat down by the flowerbeds in front of the house.
"Hurry Shadow!" I said. He came out with not even the keys and a smile on his face. "Shadow where are the keys?" I asked. He sat by me and smiled. His bike was in the garage. "It's Saturday isn't it?" I asked blushing and let my head hang.
"Ding! Ding! Ding! You got it!" He said before he took my face into his hands and kissed my cheek. I blushed.
"Then why did you tell me to get ready for school?" I asked him, now blushing in embarrassment and in anger.
"It was just a prank." He laughed.
I punched his arm and buried my face in his chest. "Argh! You idiot!" I hit his his shoulder with my red muzzle still in his chest.
"Aww... Is Silver mad?" He teased. I took my face out of his chest and turned my back to him with my ears flattened and my arms crossed.
"Hmph!" I said. I felt him press himself against me and began to purr.
"It was just a childish prank." He said. "I'm sorry." He chuckled.
"But still, you made me get dressed!" I pouted and walked away.
"Hey wait!" I turned to him. "At least you don't have to do it later?" He said smiling weakly.
"Ug..." I rolled my eyes and went inside, closing the door behind me.
Jerk!
