Chapter 9 Escaping Dreams

Eren's POV

I'm sitting up in my bed, my heart is racing and full of panic. What have I just done? I look next to me on the bed and see Levi rubbing his eyes groggily. 

"Eren, are you okay?" He whispers worriedly. 

"N-No" I reply in a shaky voice "I'm okay Levi... Uh bad dream."  I hardly mutter the last part but Levi can hear me in the dead silence of night.

"You too huh? Well, I had a bad dream as well...Do you want to talk about it?" Levi says in a calming voice wrapping his arms around me. 

"No, I don't want to talk about it Levi. But I would just like to cuddle with you for a little while." I whisper laying back down on the bed facing Levi.

Levi laid back down on the bed and we wrapped our arms around each other pulling the other one closer. We met our lips in a quick peck. We laid there in silence for a little while and I nuzzle into his neck. 

Eventually Levi speaks "It's going to be morning sooner or later, so I recommend you put your clothes on, and we have to pretend none of this happened. You be the obedient titan shifter, and I will be the Corporal with a stick up his ass. Don't worry Eren, I'm on guard duty with you for the next two days." he speaks calmly although ends his monologue with a smirk.

"Okay" I say and then I roll off the bed and begin to put my clothes on.

Soon Levi and I are fully dressed although technically it's still night time and nobody is really awake except for us. 

"Eren, do you want to go for a ride? There's nothing like seeing a sunrise on a horses back." Levi seems curious as to what my answer will be.

"Sure Levi, that sounds great." I reply excitedly.

"Alright lets go" Levi says "Oh! Be quiet, we don't want to wake anyone up."

Then we quietly and quickly rush out of the castle. We hurry into the stables both a bit giggly, I choose a horse and Levi picks his own steed. Levi attaches his saddle and helps me with my saddle. Then I give him a leg up, and we ride into the night.
