Hate U, Love U

Chapter 10:

We were in Hunan and we were looking for the taxi now, we soon found one and Tao loaded the luggage with the driver and I sat in the cab, he sat after loading the luggage. We told him that we wanted to go to the Hunan hall, he took us there and our parents waited there for us and seemed excited, they hugged us as we came out of the car and then my parents went to Tao and his parents came to me and hugged me, I hugged them happily as well but still I was confused, "What happened?" I asked smiling, "Just come in!" Tao's mother said as she held my hand and dragged me, "She's hurt!" Tao said quickly, my mother and his mother passed looks as me and Tao looked at each other curiously, "Well then bring her in!" his mother said as Tao held me and led me in and there was a big crowd waiting for us, our parents led us to the stage as me and Tao stood face to face. Our parents seemed very happy, our fathers came and stood with us too, Tao's father grabbed the microphone and announced, "Ladies and gentlemen... tonight... we're here to... get my son Huang Zhi Tao and Park Yui... engaged!" he said as we both gasped, "What?" Tao spoke angrily going towards his dad as his mother held him and I held my head as I felt like someone just banged a hammer on my head, "Umma what is this?" I asked angrily controlling my tears, "Why? We already know you both love each other and why are you both hiding it when we are supporting you?" my father said, "Dad we don't! We don't love each other! It's you guys who think all this!" I said with tears in my eyes and my mother clenched my arm, "Now everyone is here and you have to wear the ring! Understand?" she said clenching her jaws, I nodded angrily with tears in my eyes and folded my arms as I looked away and so did Tao...

***TAO POV***

It was the most shocking incident or more like accident of my life, I wanted to run away, I was about to leave the stage when my father called me angrily, "Tao!" he said as I turned back angrily, "Come back this instant!" he said as I came back and stood with him, "Everyone is here... and everyone knows that you are getting engaged with her... you know what you have to do right...?" he said as I looked away angrily and took a quick decision and stood against Yui. My mother opened the ring case and stretched it towards me, I grabbed the ring angrily and held Yui's hand tightly and put it in her finger as she closed her eyes and tried to pull her hand. She grabbed the ring with shivering hands and put it in my hand as if she wasn't in her senses, I knew what she felt. She hated me to death and so did I, we just helped each other like anyone else but I don't know why everyone saw it from a different perspective. I was feeling sorry for her as I hurt her twice, I felt sorry for myself as well. All of them celebrated as we both were forced to at least stand together for the whole ceremony... ***END OF TAO POV***
