Chapter 60

Chapter 60 and Epilogue

Misaki gasped as Kai kissed her longingly.

But she didn't resist. She didn't try to push him away. Not anymore.

"Now you know that I'm not lying." Kai said.

"Ha..na..se." Misaki commanded. (Let go...of..me..)

Kai did as Misaki told him to do so.

"I love you Misaki Tokura, my childhood best friend, the girl with the frozen heart and ice-cold princess of Charm U. Will you be my girlfriend?" Kai asked sincerely.

Misaki stared into his eyes and searched for any sign of lying. Yet she found none. Kai was honest this time.

"Let..me think first." Misaki replied.

"You don't have to answer right away. I can wait, I'll always wait for you."

"I know, I trust you. Again."

-3 months later, School Play-

Misaki was busy applying make up. She was nervous.

Kourin entered the back stage. "You ready, Misa?"

"Ready to be nervous as heck." Misaki deadpanned with sarcasm.

Kourin giggled. "Yeah, I know."

"Guys! Your scene is up!" They heard Asaka call for them.

"Hai!" The two of them replied in unison.

"Let's go?" Misaki asked and Kourin nodded.

-Time skip to end of the play it's boring and I'm lazy-

(Jayvee is Kai, Rhea is Misa, Kaye is Kourin, Mark is Ren, Dominic is Aichi, Allison is Asaka)

"So.. Now that is solved.. What now?" Jayvee asked Rhea as they saw Dominic chase Kaye.

"What now?"

"I love you, Rhea."

"You know... I love you. I'm not gonna say too since I don't only love you for loving me. I love you for being you. So... I love you." Rhea said.

"And this time.. For real." Misaki whispered but Kai heard it.

He couldn't contain himself. Kai kissed Misaki, and she responded.

They heard applauding, and they pulled away. The both of them blushed in embarassment, forgotting that they were still on stage.

After that, they went to the field, HHWW or holding hands while walking.

"Sorry if you waited for so long, I took my time, you know?" Misaki apologized

"You don't have to apologize, besides, I told you didn't I? I can wait." Kai replied.

Misaki's phone rang. "Someone said to go to the locker room."

"Alright, but I'll accompany you this time." Kai nodded and replied.

Misaki smiled at him.

-At the locker room-

They saw a note on Misaki's locker. Or a letter, to be precise.

Misaki got it and smiled reassuringly at Kai when she felt his hand on her waist.

"This neat handwriting could only belong to one person." Misaki noted as she read.

Tokura Misaki,

I apologize sincerely for all that I have done.

I think you don't need to think a lot to know who I am, nobody else could have caused you a lot of trouble.

I am sorry to you, and Kai Toshiki. I did a lot to the both of you.

I swear, that at the graduation I'll immediately leave.

"...Leon.." They mumbled in unison as they finished reading.

-another time skip, but 4 months-

It was graduation day. As soon it was finished, Kai and Misaki grabbed each other's hands and ran.

They were chasing after a certain someone.

"Matte! Chotto matte, Leon!" Misaki called out.

"What, Misa-chan?"

"You don't have to go, it is alright. As long as you apologized." Kai replied for her.

"It's for everyone. I just settled the closure."

"You can just stay and remain, as our friend." Misaki told him.

"You know, thanks. This is the first time that I met someone like you. But I won't accept it, you've done too much." Leon declined.

"Come on now."

"I thought things couldn't return back?"

"No, but with forgiveness a new beggining can start."

I feel contented with the ending.

How sad that this book ended, I'll miss writing this.
