"Child, are you alright?" A voice asks. I jump when I see a dragon in front of me. Something pulls me towards it. Maybe that's what brought me here.
"Yes I am, thank you." I say as I stand up. The dragon stares at the keys at my belt.
"Those are your mother's, why do you have them?" It asks.
"I can't remember taking them, just running off."
"Are you lost Child?" I look up at it and tears surface to my eyes. I look down at the ground.
"I can't go back, I killed someone." I look up to see the sympathetic look if the dragon. I don't want pity, I want strength.
"My mom told me my dad was taught his magic by a dragon. I think his name was Igneel," I pause as sadness crosses the dragon's face, "could you teach me?" The dragon has a scary smile on its face. I don't know if dragons should smile, so it seems scary to me.
"Of course, Aqua," it says my name so tenderly. Almost like a mother would, like my mother would. I hold back the next wave of tears.
