I didn't feel putting in the italics. So when a god or dragon speak just imagine that. For this chapter and the next. Enjoy...

"Water magic is a different way of showing your emotions to others. Love, happiness, and sorrow will make it beautiful. Whilst rage, vengeance, and hate will contort your magic into a valuable weapon. Using both at the same time will win you a true fight and you will gain Dragonforce much more easily." The first week of my training has started and I find it difficult to put any sort of my emotion into the magic.
"I can't do it," I huff in frustration.
"Think about your love for your father, then the anger of him leaving you behind. Then express that into magic." I sigh in defeat and close my eyes. Then try to bring any sort of liquid or magic near me.
"You've done it Aqua." I look down at my hands, in between them floats a sphere of water.
"Next step, manipulating it to your will by raw emotion and control." I give the dragon a smile as we progress.

Seven years later

"You are ready to go home Aqua," my dragon says. I give it a smile and a small nod. Over the years I haven't heard if my dad ever came home. However I know I've reserved myself from everyone, except my teacher. Sometimes when I look at myself, I see a colder shell of who I used to be. I don't care what the villagers say about it, they know nothing about my struggles. My magic has improved immensely. I can draw water out of anywhere, even in animal blood. I must move on to a new life without my dragon's teachings.
"I'll miss you," I whisper as I hug it.
"As will I," it says sadly. I give my teacher a small smile before leaving. I sling my small satchel over my shoulder, the banging of my mother's keys are all I hear. I sigh one more time, then I walk towards a beach that is said to harbor sightings of  Neptune. The Sea God.

"I can see the raw emotion you posses. Becoming a God Slayer will bring you pain physically and mentally. This process could kill you," the god of the sea says.
"I am aware of what I risk," I say as I bow my head to him. We are in a cave, this is where I will stay to train. This will take some time.
"Then we shall begin." His icy blue eyes pierce through my tall walls and my whole being. I give a small smile and I conjure up a fair amount of water into the air.

"Are you new in town, Miss?" A store keeper asks.
"Thank you for your service," I don't answer the question. I move to turn around when I bump into someone. Instead of looking up, I side step them and exit the shop. I open the sack as I walk and empty it. I hold a canteen. This'll be much easier to bring water in. I throw the sack away behind me. Then I tie the bottle to my belt.

"Neptune, come on! We need to train more!" I yell once I'm back in the cave.
"Who are you yelling at?" I stiffen and suck in a surprised breath. Then I bring myself back to normal.
"A friend," I reply coldly.
"So you do answer questions. I was thinking that you take pleasure in being disliked." I turn around to be met with a handsome boy around my age. He has black hair, golden yellow eyes, he's tall, he wears a black V-neck with a plaid jacket over it, black gloves, and jeans. Something catches my nose, a familiar scent. She's still searching for me. I mentally sigh, not for her own daughter but for her keys.
"Meet me on the beach," I say before diving into the ocean.
