"Come on, it's adorable!"
Walker groaned. "I was eight, okay? I can't be held accountable for anything I did before I hit puberty."
I rolled my eyes and kept replaying the video, laughing harder each time.
We were hanging out in Walker's dorm room, since we'd hardly had any time alone together since we came to Williamsport. Kylie had sent me a link to a video earlier that day, telling me to watch it with Walker - since he was the star of the video.
It was a video his mom posted on YouTube seven years ago of Walker, age eight, singing "Baby" by Justin Bieber. As soon as it started playing, I burst into laughter while Walker tried to snatch my phone away to keep me from watching it.
Honestly, it was the cutest thing I'd ever seen. (A/N: I couldn't resist putting this in the story, it's seriously the cutest thing ever)
"Aww, you were so cute back then. What happened?" I joked as I watched the video for the fifth time.
He put a hand on his heart, pretending to be offended. "Hurtful."
I shrugged, turning off my phone when the video ended. "Just making an observation."
Walker sighed and leaned back against bedframe. I scooted back until I was in the same position, cuddling up next to him.
We lay there in silence for several minutes, just enjoying each other's company. It seemed like an eternity before Walker finally spoke.
"So...what happened with you and Jaden last night?" he said slowly, like he didn't really want to hear the answer but felt the need to ask.
I tried to hide my surprise, but it was evident in my face and voice. Why was he asking about Jaden? He seemed to hate him. "Um, not much." That was clearly a lie, but I really didn't want to tell Walker about the fact that Jaden held my hand and kissed me - even if it was just on the cheek. Something told me he wouldn't react to it well. "We just went down to Lamade and watched the stars."
He raised his eyebrows. "Wait...you broke into the stadium?"
My eyes widened. "What? N-no, of course not."
"Then how did you get in?"
I bit my lip. "We just jumped over the fence."
Walker stared at me for a moment, then shook his head. "You're lucky no one caught you."
I nodded, pausing before changing the subject. "So what about you and Jordyn?"
Immediately, he started blushing. "What about us?"
I laughed. "Come on, you don't have to lie to me. Have you talked to her lately?"
He shrugged, a hint of a smile on his face. "Yeah."
Aw, he has a crush. I couldn't help smiling. "So how's it going?"
"What do you mean?"
I rolled my eyes. "I mean, have you actually said more than two words to her?"
He smiled slyly. "Well I did get her number, if that's what you mean."
My mouth dropped open in surprise, and I broke out into a grin. "Ooh, get it."
He laughed, shaking his head. "It's not like we're dating or anything. We only have two weeks together after all, so even if it did turn into something serious it wouldn't work out." He shrugged, but I could see the disappointment in his eyes.
I sighed, laying my head on his shoulder. "I keep forgetting that we actually have to leave when this is over. I just want to stay here forever." I looked up at him. "I don't want to leave you."
