explanation/ending

A/N: so since i posted an epilogue for saving hope, i wanted to do something similar for internet friends since this story means so much to me. It's not an official chapter or epilogue, but i just wanted to explain how the story was supposed to go and what was going to happen in the end.

I hope you guys like it :)

side note: i hope you guys realize that the only reason i chose the name skylar for the main character was because they have the best ship name ever (skywalker)

Skylar and Jaden grew closer together, though they never officially dated. Walker eventually started to realize that the reason he didn't like Jaden was because he was jealous of him - because he had Skylar and Walker didn't. (A/N: wow bet no one saw that one coming #shocker)

Walker broke up with Jordyn, telling her that he likes someone else. When he told Skylar, she asked him who he liked, and he was about to tell her it was her when Jaden (unintentionally) interrupted them. Skylar remembered she had plans with him, and apologized to Walker before leaving with Jaden.

While they're hanging out, Jaden tried to kiss her, but she stopped him, saying that it just didn't feel right. He asked her if it was about Walker, and she tried to deny it at first. But then Jaden told her that he saw the way she looked at him, and the way Walker looked at her. He said he knew when two people were meant to be together, and he didn't want to get in the way of that, even though he really liked her. Skylar thought about it and realized he was right. All the times she felt weird about seeing Walker with a girl weren't really her being protective - she was jealous because she wanted to be that girl.

She thought about what to do for a while before deciding to just tell him how she felt. Even though there was a chance it might ruin their friendship, she couldn't keep this from him.

So she went to his dorm room. (A/N: i wanted to actually write out this part just because i think it's cute lol)

As soon as he opened the door, Skylar hugged him. He asked her what was wrong, since he could tell she was upset.

She said, "I'm sorry. I never meant for this to happen."

"What?"

"This." Skylar reached up and kissed him, and after a few seconds, Walker kissed her back.

When they pulled away, she looked up at him and said, "I love you."

He smiled. "I love you, too, Sky."

The next day, Skylar was walking past the Mid-Atlantic dorms when she heard someone say her name. She went over to listen against the door when she realized it was Jaden and Cole talking about her.

Then she heard Cole say, "Come on. The only reason you talked to her was because of that stupid bet. You can't seriously say you like her."

Just then Jaden looked up and saw Skylar standing in the open doorway, and immediately jumped up to talk to her. He tried to deny everything at first, but then gave in and explained what was going on. He admitted that the only reason he talked to her that first day was because Cole had made a bet with him that he had to pick a random girl and lead her on. Cole cut in and added that it had to be a girl who would never have a chance with him. Jaden explained that at first he only talked to her because of the bet, but then started to actually have feelings for her.

She just walked away, not knowing how to react. She went to Walker and told him everything, and he comforted her and told her that Jaden didn't deserve her, and that she was too good for him.

After the LLWS, Walker and Skylar decided to try to make a long-distance relationship work, since it was basically what they'd been doing for the past two years. They said goodbye and both went back to California, though they still lived several hours away from each other. But they made it work, and got to see each other again in person a couple months later, when Walker came down to Skylar's house and surprised her.

(what would've been in the epilogue, bc i'm a sucker for happy endings)

They kept dating for the next three years, and decided to go to college together at UCLA. The summer before their senior year, they went back to the LLWS, and Walker proposed in the same spot where they first met, on the fifth "anniversary" of the day they met.
