After the Great Lakes/Northwest game, Walker, Antonio, Kylie, and I went down from the bleachers and left the stadium. Walker and Antonio had become friends with some of the Great Lakes players since they were all spending so much time together in the Grove, and they wanted to congratulate them on their win against the Northwest team.

We walked around outside Lamade for a few minutes before we spotted them.

"There they are," Walker said, pointing to a small group of boys wearing the familiar Great Lakes uniforms about fifty feet in front of us. We headed over to where they were standing and waited for them to finish taking pictures with fans.

When they were done, Walker and Antonio went up to talk to them, and we followed behind them.

"Hey guys," Walker said, high-fiving them. "Congrats on your win."

To be honest, I kind of tuned him out after that, when he went into his full analysis of the game. Yeah, I like baseball and all, but a girl can only take so much.

Walker turned back to Kylie and me. "Guys, this is Skylar and Kylie." Then he gestured to the four boys standing in front of us. "This is Ty, Will, Carson, and Eli."

We all greeted each other, and I couldn't help but notice one of the boys - Eli. He had the bluest eyes I'd ever seen, and he had this adorable habit of constantly taking off his hat and fixing his hair before putting his hat back on. (A/N: i've said this before but can we just take a moment for this bc it's literally the hottest thing ever. amen)

"Hi, I'm Eli," he said to me with a smile, holding out his hand. I shook it and chuckled nervously.

"Yeah, I kinda just said that," Walker said, laughing.

Eli glared at him, and I rolled my eyes. "Shut up and be nice for a change."

He scoffed and turned away, pretending to be upset. "'Shut up and be nice for a change,'" he mimicked me, talking in a high-pitched voice that sounded more like a chipmunk than me.

I ignored him, and then Kylie spoke up. "Wait, aren't you the guy who said you liked girls in that video?" she asked the guy standing next to Eli, Will Buser.

The boys all started laughing, and Will blushed and nodded. "Yeah, that's me."

She burst into laughter. "Oh my god, you're a freaking legend."

"At least someone recognizes it," he replied, looking pointedly at his teammates.

"Oh, we recognize it," Ty said, still laughing. "But that doesn't mean we can't laugh at it."

Will rolled his eyes and shook his head, turning away from them.

We all laughed, and he flipped us off as he turned and walked away.

Then my phone buzzed, and I turned it on to see who had texted me.

from: Jaden

are we still on for tonight?

I held back a smile as I responded to his text, ignoring the curious looks Walker was giving me.

to: Jaden

definitely. what's the plan?

from: Jaden

it's a surprise.

"I'm guessing you're talking to Jaden?" Kylie asked, smirking.

I quickly turned off my phone and shoved it in my pocket. "Why would you think that?" I said nervously.
