I spotted the First-Aid Kit easily, and ran back to Blake and Zander. I worked on Zander first, then Blake. They didn't say a world, only winced as I put alcohol on the wounds. I finished patching them up, and glanced at Zander's leg. "... I think you two need stitches or something..." I mumbled. "We can't. We aren't Normals," Bake said, wincing as he sat up properly. "What?" I asked. "We basically have no records, what so ever," Zander said, "Besides... we'll be fine." I stared at him blankly, "How the hell are you going to be fine?"
"Trust me. Now, go home and rest. Isn't there a field trip?" Zander asked. My eyes widened. "That's tomorrow?" I asked. Zander nodded. I stood up quickly, but then stopped. "But... we shouldn't go... I'll stay here with you two," I stated. "Who says I'm not going?" Zander asked. "But-" he cut me of. "Listen. I told you to trust me, so please trust me on this. Now, go home," he said. I sighed, giving up. "Fine! If you bleed to death, then it won't be my fault at all!" I exclaimed, walking towards the door.
"No one's going to blame you," Blake said, grinning. "Yeah. Whatever," I muttered under my breath as I passed by him. He let out a whistle, "Whew~! You sure know how to get 'em angry!," he said towards Zander. I slammed the door on the way out. Why won't he let me help? That idiot!! I don't care if he hears me! He's a dumbass!! Stupid, Stupid, Stupid, Suuuupiiiidddd!!!!! I let out a frustrated sigh, and kicked a rock. I got home in no time, and took a quick shower.
I got dressed, and wandered into the kitchen. I let out another sigh, "Guess I'm by myself today... seriously... Mom works too much," I said to myself. I heard the front door open, and close. I peeked around the corner, but saw no one. What the hell? I walked around the other side, and looked around. "Boo!" someone whispered into my ear. I jumped forward, and flailed my arms around. I turned to look at the culprit. "M-M-Mason!!!" I screamed. He gave me a lopsided grin, "Geeze, you get scared to easily." I glared at him, "What are you doing home? I thought you were going out for the entire day."
He sprawled out on the couch. "I was, then we finished the assignment early, but my 'Little Sister Alert' went off... so now I'm home," Mason said, looking up at me. I threw one of the pillows that was lying on the couch at him. He caught it easily. "Why're you so upset? Come here, tell big brother all about it," he said, trying to act cute. I stared at him blankly, "That was just gross. Go away, sick-o." I sat down on the floor in front of him. He hit me on the head lightly, "Seriously. What the hell's wrong? My 'Sister Alert' is never wrong. Spill it," he said seriously,
"What is it? Boy trouble?" he asked me. I turned my head to look at him, "... something like that..." I said quietly. "What did I tell you?! Boys are evil, and will do everything they can to do something perverted to you. Stay away from them! They are all stupid!" Mason said confidently. I let out a small laugh, "You are a boy," I stated. "I know, but I'm different, of course," he said. "Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night," I said. He stared at me with a hurt expression.
"How can you be so mean to me?" he asked. "It's because you are my brother. It shows I care," I said, with a laugh. Mason smirked, "Yeah. Okay. So, now that you're all happy, are you gonna pack for your trip?" I sighed, "I don't even wanna go now..." I muttered, "I'm worried, because someone got hurt pretty badly... yet they said to trust them and not worry about them." Mason put his hand on my head, making me lean my head back to stare him in his eyes that matched mine. "Listen. If that person tells you to trust them, and not to worry, they're doing it for you. Go on that trip and have fun. I'm sure if that person really needed help, they'd tell you. Try not to let it get to you, I'm sure they have a reasonable explanation. Now, go pack," he said, hit my head lightly with his hand before he moved it away.
I stood up, and mumbled a quick 'thanks' to him. I smiled to myself, and walked up to my room. I packed for the trip and went to bed. That morning, I woke up extra early, and went to school. There, by the gates, was Mel and Adrian. Mel waved me over, and I quickly made my way over there. Adrian gave me a smile, "Good morning, Astella." I nodded at him, and gave him a smile, "Hello." Mel glanced around, and looked back at me. "Sooo.... where's Zander???" she asked.
