Chapter 2.
You know when the least scenario you ever imagined to happen, actually happens? Well, the one I didn't at all is happening right now, Alex Rodriguez is in my art class, standing right beside me. I look away from him and sit up straight on my sit.
"Are you okay?" he asks me.
"Yeah, just fine" I answer, I hear the shuffle of the stool which probably means he sat down next to me. It wasn't that I didn't like him, or that I was scared that he might be in a gang, it was just, we didn't meet in the best way. Well, actually, I disliked him just a bit, he didn't apologize when he bumped into me. When the class finally begun the teacher introduced himself and started pointing out the class rules.
"This will be your sitting arrangement for the rest of the school year, if you have any problems with where you are sitting please move now" the teacher said, I glanced around biting my lip, no one moved. Part of me wanted to move, but if I did then I'd look just ridiculous. I mean, why would I make a big deal out of nothing, right? So I just stayed quiet and didn't move, besides, I liked sitting on the back.
When the class was finally over I tucked my pencil inside my back pack with disappointment, we did not draw anything after all. As soon as the bell rang I stood up from the stool and speed walked out the class, to Sam's locker. Fortunately she was standing there while putting some papers inside her locker, usual Sam.
"Dude, you won't imagine what happened to me today" I told her, she raised an eyebrow and closed her locker "Alex Rodriguez is in my art class"
"What the, are you serious?" She asks me with surprise, we begin to walk down the hallway as I tell her my story, or well, not exactly a story.
"The worse part is that he sits next to me" I tell her, out of the nowhere she begins to laugh like crazy, people that pass by us stare at her with a confused face. I slap her arm and force her to calm down, I wasn't that funny to make someone laugh like that. She moves my hand away and chuckled a little, I looked at her with furrowed eyebrows and raised an eyebrow.
"What's so funny about it?" I ask her.
"Hazel, it's funny because he bumped into you in the hallway, and we sort of gossiped about him in lunch, and then now he sits next to you, it's like, not exactly bad luck but, yeah, I guess bad luck" Sam tried to explain herself, I shook my head and looked ahead, it wasn't funny, at the least it was embarrassing. It didn't matter anyways, why would I care about this, it's just a simple guy that has a bad not so bad reputation who sits next to me in art class.
"I don't care, any ways, did you turn in the forms?" I asked and changed the topic at the same time, she nodded and opened the doors that leads us into the parking lot.
"Yeah, I hate that freaking lady always getting on my nerves man" Sam says, she has hated the lady from the office ever since she entered high school. Let's just say that Sam gets referrals once in a while, and that lady has to deal with it, they bicker at each other all the time.
"Well Sam, just some months and we are out" I tell her, she wrinkles her nose and walks backward to her bicycle while I walk to my car.
"Yeah, let's just not talk about that right now, see you later alligator" she waves at me and turns completely around, I wave back at her even though she can't see me and walk to my car. As I approach it I see Jason waiting for me leaning against it.
"Finally, almost the entire school is gone and you are barely getting here" he tells me.
"First of all, I'm your ride, and if you don't want to walk then keep your mouth shut" I tell him, sometimes I get really annoyed by my brother that I just snap at him. We both get inside the car silently and once again I try to bring my car alive, he grunts but at the end gives in. I turn around to get out the parking space and roughly step on the break to stop when I see Wren standing right behind my truck.
