I take Katrina back to her house and try to stop the bleeding. eventually it stops but she has lost alot of blood. I examine her head. It's a puncture wound. I have to snip some of her hair to make sure it stays clean. I stitch it up and bandage it. I lay her in her bed and I sit next to her. Waiting for her to wake up.

Three hours later she finally wakes up. "Hey Katrina. How do you feel?" I said.

"I have a huge headache." She mumbles. "I don't remember anything but Alex's slimy lips kissing mine. I can't believe him"

"Yeah, I couldn't agree more." I said. "You had hit your head really bad. I had to stitch it up. You lost some blood. You've been out for about three hours."

"Oh. Sorry." She says.

"It's ok. I like watching you sleep. You look so... peaceful." I said.

"Ok. That's not creepy at all." She says laughing.

"So who is exactly is Alex? If you don't mind me asking." I said.

"It's ok." She replies. "He was my ex. Me and him would've done anything for each other; But one day, we're running from a dark witch. She had thrown a dagger to my back and I had fallen. Alex had always been there for me, but he wasn't this time. He left me there to die. To get captured. After I got caught, the witch tortured me. Alex had stole something very valuable to her and she wanted me to tell her where he went. Everyday I kept hoping Alex would come for me, but he never did. Another witch had snuck in and set me free. I couldn't remember her name. Gal-, Gala, Galia. Something like that." She stops talking. Hanging her head down.

The weird thing is, the witch Katrina supposedly needs to destroy, her name's Galea.

"When I finally made it back to my house," She continues. "I went to the place me and Alex had always gone to. He was making out with someone else. Someone that wasn't me. He had hurt me really bad. I know It seems like nothing and he was a jerk and all but, I had fallen deeply for him." She finishes sadly.

I place my hand on her shoulder. "Its ok Katrina. He's gone now and He's never coming back." I try to reassure her.

"I'm sorry he had beaten the crap out of you." She says, looking at me with soft eyes.

"You're not the one who did it. So you shouldn't be apologizing. It's not your fault." I said. "By the way, is it ok if I stay here tonight?" I ask.

"Why?" She asked

"Well considering Alex knows where I live somehow and you got severely injured. I want to, one, Keep myself safe and two, make sure your ok and check up on you every once in a while. So, is it ok with you?" I ask.

"Sure. But where are you gonna sleep?" She replies.

"On the couch." I reply.

"Ok. I'll get you some blankets." She says, starting to get out of her bed.

"No, no, no. You need rest. I'll get it. Where are they?" I ask.

"I may be injured but I'm not disabled or anything. I can get it." She replies.

I give her a worried look.

"Ugh! Fine. In a closet down the hall. By the way, the bathroom is on the left, can you get me an aspirin. If you don't mind?" She said.

I smile. "Sure." I reply

I go and get a blanket then I go to the bathroom for Katrina's aspirin. I see pictures of Katrina and what I'm assuming are her friends. Katrina looks so beautiful in them all. Her smile, Eyes, rosy cheeks and her pretty tri-colored hair. It's all so... perfect.

"Dylan." He hear Katrina say.

"Coming" I said.

I open the door and walk into the room. I look up and I notice Katrina start to take off her clothes. I immediately walk back out and wait for her to finish up.

"Uh. Katrina. Can I come in?" I ask. I can feel the heat rushing up my neck, towards my cheeks.

" Just a minute." She says.

I wait for what feels like forever.

"Ok." She says.

I come in and she's dressed in pajamas. "Here's your aspirin." I said, handing it to her.

"Well, goodnight." I said.

I head downstairs. I lay on the couch and pull the blanket over me. I can't sleep. I keep thinking about what Katrina had said. About her being saved by Galea. Maybe it wasn't the same one. I doubt it.

I close my eyes and try to go to sleep.

***

About an hour later, I still can't sleep.

Suddenly I hear someone talking. I immediately go upstairs to check on Katrina.

I walk in her room. She's tossing and turning. Mumbling stuff in her sleep. I sit on her bed, next to her. She finally relaxes and is lying on her back.

"No." She whispers. She clenched her fists.

"Dylan." She whispers. Then she relaxes again. The corners of her mouth twitch upwards just a little bit.

"I'm here. " I whisper, wanting to hold her close to my body. Wanting to feel her warmth against my skin. Wanting to kiss her lips again. But I know she will never accept me.

She starts to toss and turn again. "No. Stop, please." She whispers. She starts to swing her hand. "Go away!" She yells.

I grab her hand and entwined my fingers with hers. She relaxes a bit. I lay down beside her and wrap my arm around her trying to sooth her. She finally seems to be calm. I just lay there. I feel complete, comfortable and without meaning to, I fall asleep right then and there.
