Cars

We get up and run to catch up to Percy before catching him up to speed on the trackers.

We need a plan, I think to myself. How do we set Them off track while also keeping ourselves alive.

"If we plant the trackers here and run rowards Them instead, They will think we are hiding and not expect an attack!" I whisper to myself.

"What was that?" Reece asks, breaking up his argument with Percy on what to do.

"Huh? Oh, nothing... Just thinking out loud."

"Well it actually sounded like a good idea!" He replies.

"It does?" I say confused.

"Yeah, I mean hear me out. I bet They have some sort of plan right now because They know where we are, yet They havn't tried any attacks in days!"

"So if we evade Their plan by making Them think we're still at the beach, we can sneak up on Them and attack!" Percy chimes in.

"No, no bad idea! I think there are more of Them than you think and They are smarter than you think and They can kill us in in instant if They wanted to." I reply.

"But They don't want to or They would have killed us already! Think Quinn, They have been tracking us this whole time! I got this planted in me the very first day They showed up! They knew we were still at home, They knew we were at the 7-11, They knew we were in those apartments, They knew we were in that building, and They know we are here!" Reece blurts sounding like he blew his own mind, "But They havn't attacked us here yet and there must be a reason for that!"

Percy knods his head through Reece's speech before speaking, "so it's settled then? We leave the trackers here and head after Them?"

I sigh, "I guess so..."

"Okay, Percy watch after my sister. Don't let ANYTHING happen to her. Got it?" Reece states.

"Wait, where are you going?" I ask.

"Well, I think it's best if you two start running East while I plant these back at the tent and grab everything we need."

"We're not leaving you!" I shout sternly.

"Keep your voice down!" Percy whisper-shouts while filling up the last bottle of water from a hose in someone's front yard.

"Sorry... But we are not leaving without Reece!"

"I will be fine." Reece assures, "the tents not far from here anyways, I will be caught up to you in no time!"

"Then whats the point in being separated anyways?" I ask seriously.

"Go." he orders, "I will see you in a few minutes." and the he nods his head at Percy, signalling him for something.

Percy then grabs me by my forearm and starts sprinting in the opposite direction, dragging me behind him. I stuggle to release myself, there is no way we are separating ourselves.

I look back where Reece was standing, but he is already disappearing along the coast.

"Keep up." Percy calls while loosening his grip on my arm a bit.

"Your too fast!" I say panting a little.

He laughs, "how do you think I got to the beach so fast, huh?"

I slow down to where Percy is literally dragging me. We have already ran three blocks and my heavy breathing is now catching up with my open wound on my back.

Percy looks back at me and begins to slow down. "You alright?" he asks, now at a complete stop.

I gasp for air and cough it out, "well, I'm living..."

He laughs again, I didn't think I was that funny.

"Here, drink up." he says handing me a freshly filled water bottle, one with fresh water unlike that salty crap.

"Thanks." I say, taking a sip.

"Lets take a walk break." I reply with a cringe, he notices my pain and continues by saying, "I know it hurts, but we have to keep moving. We need as much distance as possible."

I sigh while nodding my head, "I know, I know..."

He shoots me quick thumbs up and we begin to walk down the street.

"So, I heard you two have had a crazy adventure..." Percy says, trying to start a conversation.

"Yeah I guess, I was passed out for most of it sooo..."

"Huh?"

"Oh, nothing..." I mumble.

"You know, I never got the chance to really talk to you. I'm sorry about that."

"Talk I about what?" I ask scrunching my eyebrows to show that I really am confused.

"You know, everything. I don't really even know you even though I have been hanging out with your brother for years."

"Well you pretty much know everything, there's not much to know. I'm just... No one."

"But your not no one. Your obviously someone and there is obviously some fire in you for surviving this far. I wanna meet that fire."

"I don't know what your talking about..." I say while starting to blush.

"Okay... Then what about prom? We never had the time to talk about prom."

"Well what is there to talk about? You asked me and I said yes."

"I know, but I'm kinda surprised you said yes. I don't know if you knew this, but I have kinda liked you ever since I saw you. Your so pretty and as I started being around you I began to really like your personality. It's like you seem so innocent, quiet, and sweet but then I hear that you shot Ashley Axe! You just have so much mystery..." he cuts himself off.

Oh my God though! I think to myself, all this time we could have been dating or something. We both liked each other for so long, but didn't think the other felt the same way.

"Well I mean it doesn't really matter if you know me now anyways." he glares at me looking confused, "I mean, there's no school, no prom, no graduation, no nothing. Everyone is dead and we will be too soon."

"How could you say that? I have no intentions of dying, and neither are you."

We just continue to walk in silence staring at each other.

We walk about another block, all together I would guess we have been going about fifteen minutes. It was then that I hear a noise in the distance, a motor. Oh my God is someone in a car? They're going to get us spotted!

A car zooms passed us and then the breaks screech. The driver puts the car in reverse and comes back and stops right next to us.

Percy hovers his hand over my chest, shielding me with himself. The driver rolls down the window, revealing my brother.

"Idiot! Idiot!" I say under my breath, "what the Hell do you think you are doing? You're gonna get us all killed!"

"No, I'm saving our fucking lives." He replies with a cocky laugh.

For starters, sorry it's been a while for an update. I hit a wall in this story for a while, but I figured it out and have the next few chapters all planned out!
